Overnight Dog Sitting, Structured Solo's, Puppy Training Visits - Long Eaton / surrounding areas.

🐾 Puppy Training Visits 🐾

These can cover the following and can be tailored to your puppy.. I have 2-3 slots currently available.

Covering the following -

* co operative care (nails, being handled, equipment on etc)
* marker system
* basic lead pressure for older puppies and shaping loose lead walking
* play
* toilet training
* crate conditioning
* freeshaping recall
* environmental exposure & Neutraility
* correct socialisation
* confidence building.
* A drop/out

We can work on a selection of these or all of them over time, puppy visits are kept to 30mins max to not overwhelm or overwork your puppy at one time but frequent visits are required over a period so the training is maintained and you see results. Note these visits take place indoors & outdoors.

These visits are a minimum of 3 days a week, I also send video updates on every visit so you can watch back how I work with your puppy as well as written information for you to follow, progress and continue the teaching outside of these visits alongside having my support where needed.

It's YOUR DOG YOUR RULES.

If your guests are incapable of following the rules of your home that you have for YOUR DOG you have 3 options:

1. Crate your dog.

2. Board your dog with a facility or trainer that will respect those boundaries.

3. Don't have those guests over.

ESPECIALLY if your dog is or has been a bite risk. Period.

It is unfair to set your dog up to fail if you know your guests won't listen to your boundaries.

Not every dog needs to be petted by strangers, guests, kids, or interact with other dogs that do not live in their home.

Commonly, I will get a call about a dog that bites a person or dog during a family gathering or setting where the dog has never met those people/dogs before.

Sure some dogs love every person and dog and that's cool! However, even the nicest dogs have boundaries and can be put into situations where they can be uncomfortable with guests. Here are a few examples of stories I have heard and dealt with:

Kids shouldn't be jumping on dogs and pulling their tails.

Petting a sleeping dog that you barely know is a great way to get bitten.

Treats shouldn't be given out to multiple dogs if one has food aggression.

PLEASE do yourself and your dog a favor and either board them or have them put away from those guests if they cannot respect your rules.

And before anyone says "It's unfair to crate them when guests are over" It's even worse to put your dog down or have your guest get bitten.

Advocate for your dog. Don't set them up to fail.

💦🌊 ʙᴇᴀᴄʜ ᴛʀɪᴘ! 🌊💦

Coopers first time on a beach, he travelled well in the van for over 3 hours with a toilet break half way and straight out into a busy public car park.. this is the first time he’s been around a busy big crowd of people like this since we first collected him. After working on correctly exposing/socialising him around people in general he handled this so well and stayed in heel whilst taking it all in NOT barking or fleeing the lead 🙏🏻

He freely approached the campsite owner when we arrived with curiosity, engaging in tug with me, showing signs of settling laying down etc whilst we was stood talking to him which may seem like nothing to some but when it comes to nervous dogs.. It’s a big shift in the right direction to changes in emotions towards triggers, not to mention confidence boosting. He’s shaping into a lovely dog 🐾

Great training opportunity for him with dogs on the beach to practice recall & loose lead walking. Now loves water too! 💦 🎾
