Stag Lodge Stables would like to invite you to join our wonderful riding school situated uniquely on the borders of both Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common. The stables are steeped in rich history and have been a riding establishment since the 17th century. Stag Lodge Stables is proud to be a member of the British Horse Society (BHS) and the Association of British R

iding School (ABRS). We have more than 70 well-trained horses and ponies suitable for all ages and all levels of riding, and a great team of experienced, qualified Riding Instructors who are always friendly and professional throughout your horse riding experience. Stag Lodge Stables operates from two well-equipped sites – the ‘original’ Stag Lodge at the Robin Hood Gate entrance to Richmond Park, and Stag Lodge 2, a purpose-built, multi-stable, multi-arena 11-acre site just half a mile down the road adjacent to the A3 for easy access. With Stag Lodge being so uniquely located there is no roadwork leading us into beautiful open countryside so you can be horse riding in Richmond Park or horse riding on Wimbledon Common within seconds of leaving the stables. We cater for all age ranges and all levels of ability, so whether you simply fancy a hack around Richmond Park, a summer evening Pub Ride, a gentle wander on a Shetland pony for your little one or a full course to take you to competition standard, here at Stag Lodge Stables you can achieve your goal. As well as plenty of opportunity for horse riding in London, we are also one of the largest Pony Club Centres in the country, perfect for budding equestrians to immerse themselves in the equine world. The immensely popular Pony Weeks for children which operate in every half term and school holidays throughout the year

We are looking for an experienced rider for our riding school. We are a busy riding school situated on Richmond Park, South West London. We require an enthusiastic individual who we can train to es**rt hacks through stunning Richmond Park.

You MUST be an experienced rider (happy riding all types of horses) and you need to have a bubbly, happy personality as you will be guiding clients through the park. Sometimes you will be required to give some pointers to your client whilst hacking if they need help to improve their position/aids etc. Due to the size of our horses we cannot take anyone that is over 12 stone.

This can be a full time position (5 days per week) your regular days off will be Monday and Thursday. Otherwise we can also negotiate days to suit a part time position. You MUST be available to work at least 1 regular weekend day. The following days/hours apply for full time: Tues, Wed and Fri 8.30am-6pm Sat and Sun 7.30am-5pm (1hour lunch break each day)

This is a dream job for someone that enjoys riding and spending time outdoors.There is the opportunity to receive training towards your BHS exams on a weekly basis during term time. It is important that only hardworking and reliable people apply.

We do have accommodation available in our shared staff house for full time staff. This is a great chance to earn a good salary, learn and be part of a friendly team. Please attach an up to date CV with your application.

Exciting opportunity!

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Livery Yard Manager to join our professional equestrian facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our busy yard operations and ensuring the highest standards of horse care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily running of the livery yard, including staff management and yard operations
- Ensure exceptional care for all horses on the premises, including feeding, turnout, exercise and all general welfare
- Manage client relationships and maintain clear communication with horse owners
- Coordinate farrier, veterinary, and other professional visits
- Oversee stable and paddock maintenance
- Manage yard supplies, including feed, bedding, and equipment
- Create and maintain staff rotas
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols
- Accompany our clients to local competitions using our 3.5 tonne lorry
- Teaching livery clients

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar management role within the equestrian industry
- Full UK driving licence and feel confident to drive a 3.5 tonne lorry
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Excellent knowledge of horse care, welfare, and yard management
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication skills
- An experienced rider able to ride and lunge a variety of horses
- Be able to clip/pull to a high level

Working days/hours include: Tues, Wed, Fri 8.30am-6pm and Sat and Sun 7.30am-5pm. One hour lunch break each day. 28 days annual paid holiday. The chance to continue with your own training towards BHS assessments. Self contained apartment available in a shared staff house. Sorry but no pets.
