Offering both lessons and/or a memorable hack around the historic Hyde Park - including the famous Rotten Row! As we enter or 50th year the Stables still reflects the philosophy of their founder, Ross Nye, and offers a unique and rare experience for adults and children alike. As well as riding in Hyde Park, the Ross Nye Stables is able to offer instruction in the outdoor arena, lessons in stable m

anagement, a membership scheme, regular newsletters and outings to famous horsey events and social activities. We welcome all, whether adults or children, beginners or experienced. Most people ride on a regular weekly basis, and extra lessons are always available at halfterm and on the school holidays. During the summer, the ponies escape the heat of London, and spend late July and August at the Pony Camp in Surrey. This offers the opportunity for existing members to spend a week at the Nyes' farm, and work intensively on their riding. Make sure that you find out about the dates for next year! It’s such a great experience, and you will be able to enjoy long hacks in the woods, jumping lessons in the fields, cross country, sleeping outside – and spending a whole week with your favourite ponies! At the Ross Nye Stables, we have always focussed on providing riding for children – after all, most children who live in London would not be able to have their own horses, so we try to make ours available for all the pony-crazy boys and girls! It’s not like having your own horse – it’s even better! You can have as many favourites as you like, from Sterling to Gulliver, Curtis to Barry – whichever you prefer, or why not all of them!

Luckily Starkey was only wanted for questioning and has been released without charge (surprisingly!!!)
He has not been arrested and will join the rest of our horses on their Easter break at Longfrey farm tomorrow.

Happy New Year to everyone from Ross Nye Stables!
2025 is a very special year for the Stables, as we will celebrate 60 years with a big party in August 🥳
This will also give us all the opportunity to say goodbye, as the London Stables will not reopen after the summer.
I’m sure you understand that this has been a very difficult and complicated decision for us to take, and we very much appreciate your continuing support and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.
