MISSING CAT

Stormi is missing from Birchanger Road, South Norwood, near the junction with Enmore Road.
She is a grey Bengal.

She has a missing fang so her mouth sometimes looks a bit lob sided.

She is microchipped but the owner details have not been updated as she was adopted from the house next door. If you have any information please call the number on the poster.

Please share and help get this girl home.

Further to my previous post about the amazing rescue of 38 cats by South Croydon Animal Rescue they are in need of financial help to neuter, microchip and vaccinate most of the cats. It is also quite expensive to feed them all!

My good friend Squirrel recently rescued 38 cats from a home in East Grinstead. The majority of the cats had not been neutered, microchipped or vaccinated.

And now for the big one! on 23rd October a lady phoned SC Animal Rescue East Grinstead to say she was being evicted in two days and she had 36 cats, She also said she thought they were being poisoned by a family member as some of them had died.
I decided to go to the house to assess the situation the next day. I booked a vet appointment at a nearby practice for one cat so he could be tested for poisoning. When I got to the house, the relative referred to refused me entry and the owner of the cats brought one cat out to go to the vet. Fortunately the cat showed no sign of poisoning or infection. Upon y return to the house, I discovered that none of the cats were microchipped or vaccinated and only 5 of the 38 (not 36 as she had said!) were neutered.
My assessment was that they all needed to be taken to safety immediately, so I got them out.
38 cats is far more than we can cope with here, so spent several hours assembling a team to help. Luckily, I am surrounded by wonderful people and we are starting to find homes and foster placements. The cats are being microchipped and vaccinated as fast as Anne Nelsons vets can allocate appointments, and arrangements are in hand for neutering. I will post pictures of the cats as soon as time allows!

The evil and totally illegal cub hunting season has already started and we know the Old Surrey and Burstow Hunt have started going out to train their new hounds to kill fox cubs. 🙁💔

Their kennels are based in Felbridge, Surrey. If anyone local has any information about when they are going out or sees their hound van (with hounds) on the move please contact our colleagues at East Surrey Hunt Saboteurs or Croydon Hunt Saboteurs so that they can be stopped and reported to the Police.

Hunts have already been caught out, sneaking out at the crack of dawn to participate in one of their dirty little secrets - cubbing - otherwise known as cub hunting, or dressed up by the hunters as ‘autumn hunting’.

It's been a while since I've posted.
This is not my Swansong but an interview I did nearly a year ago about the SNARL investigation into Croydon/UK Cat/Animal Killer for the BBC Sounds series called Home Sleuth published today.

I am taking a break to sort my life out but will keep this page open. All reports of possible cases are being passed to my ex partner Boudicca Rising and her team at London Animal Investigation Network (SLAIN) who are continuing to investigate.

This petition calls for equal rights for cats as with other animals. Oldham Cats Rescue recently had their popular resident cat Poppy found decapitated a likely victim of the Croydon/UK Cat/Animal Killer.

SIMBA UPDATE: HE IS NOW SAFE!

Simba is now safely at South Croydon Animal Rescue, Purley. A wonderful foster carer who has been highly recommended by GSRE is coming tomorrow to make sure Simba gets on with his other rescue dog. Neutering has been arranged for Wednesday. All of the people who have offered Simba a new forever home will be contacted as soon as possible.

Apologies for tardy contact with those people who have offered a permanent home I have spent most of today trying to get treatment for a nasty and accidental bite from another rescue dog.

URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED!

Posting on behalf of a group of people hoping to save this young boy and South Croydon Animal Rescue

PLEASE NETWORK FAR AND WIDE.

Located in South Croydon.

This is Simba. We need a home or foster home for him by tomorrow evening. He is 10 months old, vaccinated and chipped but not yet neutered. Has been shunted around various members of a family who didn't know what owning a big dog entailed. Simba is said to be a German Shepherd/Tibetan Mastiff cross. I have my doubts as he is too small. He is very placid. He interacted well with other people including children and other dogs. Not known if he's cat reactive. Current owner reported some issues with barking at night and chewing things (common for puppies!) They are literally trying to hand him to every person who takes any interest in him and they have said they won't keep him beyond tomorrow evening.

Just to let everyone know we are aware of this case and have spoken to the owners.

I'm posting this to remind everyone that the UK Animal Killer is still very much active and operating across the South East of England. We have had numerous cases over tha last few weeks most recently Worthing and Dartford.

Please sign and share this petition for the compulsory neutering of all cats. Thanks.

In April Spain introduced compulsory sterilisation of cats by six months of age, unless they are registered as breeding animals. We are calling on the Government to tackle the crisis of homeless cats, by making neutering of cats mandatory by six months of age, except of licensed breeding cats.

URGENT REHOME OR FOSTER NEEDED
BRIGHTON AREA

Sadly Rocky's owners are being evicted from their home and are unable to keep her. We are looking for a permanent new home or a short term foster carer until a new home is found.

She is approximately 1 year old and very friendly and gentle. She is used to living with other cats and is also used to dogs. She is not yet neutered or microchipped nor has she been vaccinated. This will obviously need to be arranged before she goes to a new home.
