Dogs are one of the most beloved animals in the world, with a long history of domestication dating back tens of thousands of years. Throughout the years, humans have bred dogs to serve a variety of purposes, from hunting and herding to companionship and protection. The UK Kennel Club recognizes 222 different pure dog breeds, which are organized into seven different groups: Pastoral, Gundog, Hound, Utility, Terrier, Working and Toy. Each group contains breeds with similar characteristics and purposes. For example, the Hound group contains breeds that were originally bred for hunting, while the Toy Group contains breeds that were bred for companionship.

On Saturday the 8th of July The Doggylush Team stumbled upon a lovely selection of stalls for dogs in the ancient market town of Kingston Upon Thames.

Nestled next to the regular food stalls in the ancient market place itself were stalls by independent pet companies selling food, leads and harnesses and toys.

Dog owners out for a stroll with their four legged friends happily meandered amongst the stalls to check out a variety of different dog products and mingle with other dog owners. If you get a chance, we recommenced that you and your dog go check them out.

The DoggyLush team had a fabulous day out at The Windsor Championship Dog Show. This is a yearly event running over four days and is a Crufts Qualifying Show run under the Kennel Club rules and regulations with both national and international entrants.

Each day showcases specific breed groups and we attended on the day for Hounds And Utility. A huge grooming section circled by many small show and judging areas are conveniently located under large marquees ensuring that neither rain nor too hot sunshine interferes with the showcasing and judging. Stalls encompass the site selling everything for dogs and humans alike.

This is a super friendly and well organised event which showcases both a wonderful range of dogs and their owners in their best light.
We got to say hi to so many lovely dogs both competitions and family dogs just out for a day of fun with their owners. A big shout out to Victoria the wolfhound, who enthusiastically threw herself at and on! our feet for a belly rub and Herman the Bassett hound, who easily, in our opinion, won the top award for the longest softest ears!

We had a truly lovely day out, helped by great weather and the Windsor Castle backdrop. We are already looking forward to return next year.

We wanted to thank our loyal customers for the continued support during this unprecedented time.

We have been able to fulfil all of our orders, however some customers have experienced delays due to the challenges faced by RoyalMail, who have been the unsung heroes throughout this period.

We also appreciate this has been a time, where our customers have been able to spend quality time with their pets and this created an unexpected demand for our products and now some product lines are out of stock.
