There’s this one walk I do when I need to reset.
Same woods, same little rituals — Kai inspecting every bush like it holds state secrets, Neo skipping like his bones are made of elastic.
No rush. No inbox.
Just light between the trees and a couple of silly whippets reminding me what matters.

About
5 years ago we got Kai, our much loved brindle whippet. This has been the most wonderful decision we ever took. He changed our lives, in fact, Dogsnug would not exist was it not for him. Let me explain: on his first year we went to the mountains for Christmas and it was beautiful but so cold! We had bought him a dog coat, one of those waxed jobs that looks great until you realize that dogs roll in all sorts of weird things, and this was not going to wash! On top of it all, it was not really keeping the skinny whippet warm.
My background is Menswear fashion design, so I started to research materials, shapes and fastenings that could make a good coat for whippets. After some tinkering, the first whippet coat for Kai was made. I wanted it to be functional (keep the rain, mud and cold away) but also fun and beautiful and durable.
Every time Kai wore it he would get comments from other dog parents so we got some orders ...and the rest is history!
The Dogsnug team is small but perfectly formed, made up of:
Kai the CEO: he takes all the decisions of what is good, useful and pretty. Kai is a true adventurer so his spirit is always my inspiration.
Myself, a fashion designer with 15 years industry experience, with a passion for making, testing, experimenting and of course, dogs.
We have also many collaborators: Peter the master of interaction design and photography, making our website look wonderful, Paz the social media wizzard, Urska the best fastest fabric cutter in the world, Anna and Yordanka the super ladies helping with the sewing and so many more wonderful people!
Dogsnug is passionate about fashion, materials and the rapidly advancing world of sportswear design. This greatly influences our approach. By combining technical fabrics and finishes with a design aesthetic we have addressed our need for style and substance. We are firm believers that function should not compromise aesthetic sensibility but the two
should compliment each other to achieve a perfect balance of form and function.
We believe that perfection is only attained by constantly trying to make things better, which is why 4 years on, we still continue to fine-tune every product every season so you can enjoy well made, hand made products made by good people that get paid a fair wage.
We hope that our products bring dogs and hoomans much joy.
