One more week left of summer holidays! We have lovely Alpona art workshops with on both Wednesday and Friday this week - we will be under cover so don't be put off by the rain! Both sessions are drop in, so just turn up and join in!

New shoes for Bayleaf the donkey! At 29 years old, Bayleaf is suffering from painful feet caused by his long-term health condition, Cushing’s Disease.

Our lovely farrier has sorted him out with custom made shoes to try and help his hooves to heal. Bayleaf was a star having them fitted and Matt will be back in a month or two to fit his next set.

The metal shoes wear down quickly on our concrete farmyard, and at £150 a pair, Bayleaf’s long-term treatment plan won’t be cheap. We’d be grateful for any donations to help keep our oldest resident comfortable in his retirement!

TOMORROW!

From 1pm tomorrow Skye Baker , illustrator and animator will be onsite to teach anyone aged 7-15 how to make their own stop-motion animations using drawing, found objects (we'll be looking around the farm for inspiration) and simple tech like an iPad. Drop in, but numbers are limited so arrive close to 1pm to be sure of a spot!

Did you know we grow all of our produce organically 🍎 And we’re not afraid of wonky veg either 🫑

It’s the reason our fruit and veg has real flavour but it also means some of them may contain small bugs 🐛

Because of this we highly recommend you cut things open before eating!
Everything around where a bug has been living is perfectly edible so we normally just cut those bits out and enjoy 🥒
