King Louie was rushed into our clinic with a critical case of gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), a condition that can become fatal within hours if left untreated. Thanks to his family’s quick thinking, King Louie had swift, life-saving surgery.

“Seeing the whole practice pull together to admit, diagnose, operate, and recover the King himself was brilliant. I’m so proud of the whole team, including his humans and Louie himself for getting through this ordeal!” Dr. Jilli

We feel so fortunate to have received these lovely hand-drawn gifts from our placement student, Emma 💛

She took the time to draw our whole Bushey team in the clinic, plus a piece with each staff member as their favourite animal. We cannot wait to have these up on the wall in the clinic.

So thoughtful and impressively accurate - she even got the little fur hoover on the shelf in prep!

Hello Stanmore! We're ready for you 🐾

Nestled in this leafy corner of London, our new clinic is just an 11-minute walk from Stanmore station (Jubilee line), with great bus links to our main clinic in Bushey too.

We're thrilled to bring our specialist care to a new neighbourhood and to meet all the new pets (and people!) who come with it.

Less carrier. More climbing. 🐈‍⬛

The cat climbing wall in our De Beauvoir clinic is a big favourite amongst feline patients. It gives curious cats a chance to explore and feel at ease in our consult room.

Thoughtful, cat-friendly touches like this can make the vet a little less daunting, which we think is part of a great vet experience. 💛

These tiny, arrow-shaped seeds may look harmless, but they can easily burrow into your dog’s paws, nose, ears, eyes, and skin, causing serious injury.

Watch out for these 5 warning signs:
🐾 Licking or chewing paws
👂 Head shaking or ear scratching
🤧 Violent, sudden sneezing
👁️ Red or weepy eyes
❗️ Sudden swollen lumps on the skin

Luckily lovely Fred in the video is now all better after Dr. Christian removed the grass seed from in between his toes. A thorough “seed check” after walks (especially in long grass) could make all the difference to your pup.

If you think your pet might have a grass seed stuck somewhere it shouldn’t be, you can WhatsApp our clinical team (link in bio). Feel free to send photos and videos, they can help us identify the issue. 🐶
