Hackney Barkers Award-winning dog grooming salon & boutique based in East London Transparency and trust are at the base of a long-lasting relationship.

Hackney Barkers, an independent boutique & dog grooming salon:

As a small business, our goal is not just to make your dog feel and look their best, but to make a positive impact on our community and planet. For us, it is essential to be associated with brands that match our ethos and this is why we are proud to share with you the products we use during the grooming session and allow you to purchase them in our boutique area. We exclusively work with cruelty-free products that are made using only natural, organic and vegan ingredients.
‘Wild for dogs’, our main supplier, is an independent business that hand-makes each and every product locally to guarantee the highest quality possible. Together, we will donate 50p for each product sold to the ‘Wild At Heart Foundation’, an amazing charity that aims to reduce the world's stray dog population. As enthusiastic as we are to introduce you to our products, we are proud of our shop and we are excited to invite our customers to visit our grooming area. A working space developed with the dog’s needs and safety in mind, installed with an electric bath and a hydraulic grooming table that lowers to accommodate large, elderly dogs and those with joint pain.

Nova the snowball!
We’ve come a long way. I think he might enjoy his baths now, we used to get quite the opera performance back then!

After being such a big part of Hackney Barkers, the time has come for us to say goodbye to Keeley as she moves on to her next chapter.

She has been so much more than just a member of our team. We’ve shared so many days together, so many laughs, plenty of chaos, and probably far too many conversations about dogs.

We’re so grateful for everything she has given to our salon, our dogs and all of our customers.

Thank you for everything, Keeley. All the best for your future ❤️

Grooming is a craft, and we’re serious about it.
The scissor work, the coat knowledge, the patience and love it takes to make a nervous dog feel safe.
That’s the standard here.

But it’s not all heads down. It’s a good team, and a busy one, with a lot of dogs, a lot of laughs, and people who’ll happily show you a better way to do something. You’ll be pushed to get better, and you’ll have people around you who want you to.

We’re looking for someone who lights up around dogs and wants to keep improving. If that’s you, swipe through and apply. And if you know someone who’d be perfect for this, send it their way.

Meet Kayleigh!
She recently started grooming school and just completed Level 2.
We caught up with her for a quick Q&A about how it’s gone so far.
Follow to keep up with her journey!
