When you get the call up from THE and my amazing charity partners to run the world’s deepest marathon, it’s quite hard to say no!!!

So here it goes! In just 100 days I’ll be running a full marathon, 26.2 miles all below ground at a crazy depth of 1,150 metres (that’s about 4x the height of the shard).

I’m honoured to be selected for this WORLD RECORD BREAKING run, heading to Boliden’s Garlenberg mine in Sweden with 60 other incredible competitors, coming in from 17 countries across the world.

With no natural light, only head torches to guide the way, temperatures reaching 30°C, and running in complete silence, this extreme challenge will test my every limit.

Organised by , and , and proudly supported by World Gold Council, Hindustan Zinc and Teck, the event will showcase the strength of the human spirit and raise over $1 million for charities and .

I’ll be running for Wild At Heart, a charity so close to my own heart, to shine a light on the 675 million stray dogs around the world who spend their lives in fear, suffering and uncertainty. Through this extraordinary challenge, i’m raising vital funds to support sterilisation, education and welfare initiatives, helping to create a safer and kinder world for vulnerable dogs worldwide.

In the beginning....

Having worked at other dog day care centres in London, I saw how the care was so limited. It’s no fun being stuck in a field all day. It’s not even close to providing dogs with the stimulation they need to stay happy and at the very least sane! I began with the running, at the start it was the only thing I could do in my pursuit to providing all dogs with the care they need. I’d get up everyday and cycle to Chelsea to go run Walter, a cockapoo. How things have changed! Now we have the best and most luxurious day care house, multiple running sessions for dogs of all shapes and sizes, and unequivocally the best day care service in London.
