Just reflecting on the week nearly done for the Happy Hounds team and all the beautiful little souls that we have the privilege to walk and have in daycare.
I love my job as most of you know and I love each and every one of the dogs we look after. I’m proud to have built the business up through many years of training, building strong relationships and nurturing all the pups in our happy pack.
Also we are fully licensed by the Council and insured for up to twelve dogs (however we don’t on most occasions). We have also had multiple Council checks and passed each one with flying colours as we stick to their requirements. We have trust from our clients and I can’t think of anything better than looking after all these lovely pups while they play with their regular pack of friendly doggy mates every day.
But to be honest, what isn’t so great is dealing with a handful of local gossiping individuals, who have nothing better to do than talk about you, spread absolute lies and try to intimidate you whilst you are running your business. This has been going on for a year and a half, to the point where I’ve been advised by police to wear a body camera to capture evidence to prevent them from making up their own versions and spreading their lies.
I could completely understand it if we were walking a pack of big, aggressive dogs, but what is astonishing to me is that every single one of my dogs is friendly [I won’t take on a reactive dog because its not fair to the others] and all of my clients know how much care I take of them.
So if you have a friendly dog, please come over and let your dog play in the normal way.
However, if you have been idly gossiping about me recently when we were once friendly, PLEASE just leave us alone and we can all get on with our walks. [Plus, that way you won’t be on the end of my occasionally sharp tongue, which I do realise.]
But onwards and upwards and looking forward to having a great day today.
[ps. Hopefully there isn’t one of the local weirdo’s hiding in a bush to film us today].
Have a good day all!
Chris and the Happy Hounds team
