We have been training Nix for a while now to find birds. And she is becoming a super star. It's quite an easy thing to find as they smell quite a lot and she picks up the scent from quite far away. The head snap says it all 🥰

"Excited to kick off a brand-new project! 🥳 We're diving into training on a new target odour, and here's how we're doing it:

We start by imprinting the new odour with our primary target. After enough repetitions, we shift to training solely with the new odour, making sure to proof it in different environments. Over the next 2 months, we'll focus on:

🔍 Blind searches
🔍 Double blind searches
🔗 Training on leash
🚶‍♀️ Increasing distance between Duna and the target, especially since this will involve a live animal 🦅
