Myth!
Dogs and cats were once believed to see only in black and white. This belief has been disproven by scientists. In all animals, including humans, the perception of colour is determined by the presence of cells in the eye called cone photoreceptors. Both cats and dogs have cones that are sensitive to blue and green light. This allows them to see colors. Color perception in other animals is determined by the presence and type of cones.
