Today, was my last day as a dog walker, after 13 years.

I have handed over the keys to Anna Mathers.

Anna joined the company of dogs in 2014 and has been the best companion. I am so pleased that she is taking on some of my remaining clients, together with Graham Spearman and Lewis Usher.

I will be happy to return for holiday cover but now I am off to pastures new in Wiltshire, where I will continue with www.ktk9.net

The company of dogs is also the company of friends, as over the years of walking your dogs, you (the owners) have become good friends. And I have made friends with other dog walkers too.

Last night was going to be a quiet farewell drink with fellow dog walkers (as I am moving to Wiltshire) but Anna surprised me by inviting my dog owners too, and the evening became a celebration of friendship. I am so grateful for that friendship and I know now that it is not good-bye as we will remain friends wherever we are.

Thank you Anna for organising this surprise gathering. It was very special.

And thank you for the cushion depicting photos of my dogs, so I can look at the every day.
