Pet owners need not panic yet but scientists have found that Coronavirus can infect cats. Though it seems less likely with dogs. Ferrets have been fond to be highly susceptible to infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus, which the scientists suggest makes the animals a suitable model for testing potential vaccines and drugs.

But scientists say it’s unclear whether felines can spread the virus to people, so pet owners need not panic yet.
