This is Myla, she travelled from the UK to Dubai 🇦🇪

Once Myla landed, she was collected by our trusted pet travel partner, Sandy Paws. They collected her from airport, handled her customs clearance and delivered her to her owner.

Myla was very excited and happy to be reunited with her family 💙

Not every Airpets passenger has paws… 👀

This week, we safely relocated a group of axolotls to Lisbon, Portugal. They travelled in specialist water-filled bags designed to keep them secure and comfortable throughout their journey.

After a short flight, they were reunited with their owners and, after a few days to settle in, they’re now happy and thriving in their new home. 🫧✈️

From dogs and cats to some of the world’s more unusual pets, every relocation is carefully planned to make sure each animal arrives safely at its destination.

Have you ever seen an axolotl before? 👇

Will my pet get jet lag? 🌍✈️🐾

The answer is yes but just like us, it’s usually temporary.

After travelling across multiple time zones, your pet might be sleepier than usual, eat at different times, or seem a little less energetic for a few days. Most pets settle into their new routine within 3–5 days.

One of the best ways to help? Start following your new local schedule straight away. Feed meals, go for walks and stick to your normal routine based on your destination’s time zone from day one to help reset their body clock.

Can my pet travel on the same flight as me? ✈️🐾

The short answer is... yes, in most cases!

Once your pet’s flight has been confirmed by the airline, you can usually book yourself onto the same commercial flight. Your pet will travel safely in the temperature- and pressure-controlled cargo hold, while you travel in the cabin.

There are some exceptions. If your journey includes multiple flights or connections, your pet may need different transfer times to allow for rest breaks and welfare checks, so your itineraries may not always match exactly.

That’s where we come in. Your dedicated Airpets export consultant will advise on the best travel plan for both you and your pet, ensuring every part of the journey is carefully coordinated.
