Why Puppy Grooms Are So Important! 🐾🖤
Starting your puppy’s grooming journey early is key to ensuring they become calm, comfortable, and confident in the grooming environment. Especially if your pup will need a haircut when they grow up. ✂🐶
Puppy Grooms help your pup get used to the experience and the equipment we use. The big bath, the table and the dryer can be scary at first. So can being handled, brushed, and having a nail trim. Even the noises and the vibration of the equipment take some getting used to. Introducing them to all this early on builds confidence. It’s also valuable to gain familiarity and trust with the groomer.
Gentle, positive grooming experiences early on make future sessions easier for both the pup and the groomer. By the time your puppy reaches 6 months, they’ll be comfortable being bathed, dried and brushed. And able to stand still during their first haircut (if they need one).
Regular grooming early on also helps prevent matting, tangles, and skin issues, keeping your pup feeling fresh and looking their best! 🛁🐶
We encourage puppy parents to bring their pups in for a puppy groom every few weeks before they reach 6 months. This will set them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming experiences! 🙌
