Reuben and Keisha are close friends, both of whom share one trait – having to use a wheelchair to get around.
In Reuben's case, it was a normal morning when the dog was swimming with his family when his hind legs stiffened, unable to contract. Reuben was taken to the vet, who diagnosed the dog with a protruding disc, which led to a puncture of the spinal cord.
Polio also came as a surprise when Keisha was having fun with her family. The veterinarian advised the family to let Keisha slowly get used to the wheelchair, but according to her owner: "It only took 10 minutes, just 10 minutes after Keisha was in that wheelchair, she started rolling happily."
