Nail Clipping, all the dog groomers will love me for this one! Here is a young GSD learning to enjoy having his nails done (this has been weeks of training)

It’s a real gap in most people’s training, many dogs will not allow you to cut their claws or handle their paws. A lot of dogs now are not walked on hard surfaces daily which can result in long claws, so those dogs that have their daily walks in the woods will not wear their claws down naturally so they do need help.

Making sure your dogs claws are a suitable length it makes for better paw posture and your dog will be far more comfortable.

This is a basic for your dogs care, if you are not comfortable in cutting your dogs claws, helping training your dogs to be ok with clippers and handling of the paws can really help your groomer!

My little guy! Look at him go 😎

Not something we was planning for this guy but he has sat and watched the other dogs and was desperate for a go, so we gave him what he wanted and he is a happy boy 😍

Here we have Vinny,go back and watch previous video to get an understanding of this dogs behaviour, watch the video and notice how he begins to enjoy a complete strangers company, this dog had severe human reactivity which K9 Training Services: Dog Training Centre of Excellence have worked hard to fix, here I am helping with that progress 👌🏻🐾🐕

Here is Vinny, been to a previous trainer who had used some bad e-collar methods, to train basic skills, leaving him with lasting trust issues with strangers and even his own owners.

Here K9 Training Services: Dog Training Centre of Excellence have worked hard to change this and correct the damage that has been done, there will be some videos to follow of me doing a bit of work with Vinny to make him understand strangers are fun not something to be worried about 😎

Now his owners have committed to a good behavioural modification programme for the last 8 months he has is now stable enough to start protection work. It is so important any form of protection work is not done with a dog that is unstable 🐕
