Did You Know?
A house cat raised in a loving home is not prepared for life on the streets. It doesn’t recognize cars as a threat, so when it’s abandoned outdoors, it often ends up hit by traffic. Unlike street cats, it hasn’t learned how to survive danger.
The Sad Truth:
Many people—adults and kids alike—adopt cats without understanding the long-term responsibility. Once the cat settles in and bonds with the family, they may grow frustrated with scratched furniture, loud mating calls, or the arrival of kittens. That’s when some people cruelly abandon their pet outside…
(Thinking it’ll “just adapt” like a stray cat.)
But Reality Is Harsh:
The abandoned cat may be hit by a car, starve, or be attacked by territorial street cats. Most don’t survive.
So Please, Think Before You Adopt:
If you’re not ready for a lifelong commitment—or if you see a cat as just a source of fun—don’t bring one home.
A cat is a soul, not a toy.
Treat it with the care it deserves.
