🐾 Henry 🐾

Henry is one of the two setters we pulled out alongside Scarlett. He'd been chained and kept behind bars, covered in ticks and sores, with no one looking out for him.

That's over now.

He's safe in the kennels, being treated and properly cared for, and starting to work out that people can be kind. For a dog who had every reason to give up on us, he's taking it all in his stride.

Henry needs a kennel sponsor while he gets ready for his journey to the UK. From £35 a month keeps his place while he waits.

Miles - 🐾 MEET MILES — THE BOY WE WENT TO SAVE 🐾

Miles is the beautiful boy our rescuers were travelling to collect from a public kill shelter when, along the way, they discovered two more Setters (Rosie and Henry and a Pointer girl Scarlet) who also desperately needed help.

Miles was the reason for the journey — and thankfully, he made it out. ❤️

He is around 3 years old and absolutely stunning. After being surrounded by the noise and stress of a busy shelter, he was clearly so happy to be taken somewhere safe.

Miles is a wonderfully happy soul with a lovely nature. He is great with people and other dogs and has already shown what a friendly, sociable boy he is.

He has not been cat tested.

Miles will not be able to travel to the UK until November, so until then he needs a sponsor to help towards his kennelling, food and preparation for travel.

🐾 MEET HOPE — A GENTLE GIRL WITH A NEW CHANCE AT LIFE 🐾

Hope was found wandering alone on a busy street.

Our rescue friends contacted us and asked if we could help. One look at her sweet face and we simply couldn’t say no. ❤️

Hope has now been in our care for around two months, and she continues to thrive. She is approximately 3 years old and has a wonderfully calm, loving personality.

She is also great with other dogs and has shown herself to be a gentle, easy-going girl who just wants to feel safe and loved.

Hope will not be able to travel to the UK until November, but until then she still needs our support.

🐾 MEET MAYA — ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES 🐾

Beautiful Maya was found alone in a field between two villages.

The kind people who spotted her were already feeding stray dogs in the area and contacted us to ask if we could help. Of course, we said yes. ❤️

Maya was very malnourished when she was found. She had simply been in the right place at the right time, noticed by people who cared enough not to walk away.

She is only around 1.5–2 years old and is a wonderfully sweet-natured young girl. Now she is safe, being cared for and getting everything she needs to become healthy and strong again.

Maya should be ready to travel to the UK in late November, but she has a few months of care ahead of her before then.

💛 Maya is looking for a sponsor to help towards her food, kennelling and preparation until she is ready to travel.

🏡 And, of course, she is already looking for her forever family. Maya can be reserved for adoption now, so she could have a home waiting for her when she is finally ready to travel.

🐾 Scarlett 🐾

A week ago, Scarlett was chained in the dirt, too frightened to move. She'd been used for breeding and kept prisoner, and she'd learned to expect nothing good from anyone.

Look at her now.

Same dog, same week. The only thing that changed is that someone refused to walk past her.

She's safe in the kennels now, eating properly and slowly working out that a hand reaching towards her isn't something to fear. She's got a way to go. But she's already a different dog to the one we found.

🐾 We got them out 🐾

Scarlett, Henry and Rosie. A German Pointer and two setters, kept chained and behind bars by people who treated them as things to use, not dogs to care for.

This wasn't neglect. They were kept prisoner and abused. Scarlett, our German Pointer girl, was used for breeding and kept chained in the dirt.

We won't pretend it wasn't grim. It was.

But here's what we can tell you now: all three are out. Safe in the kennels, warm, fed and being shown some kindness, for the first time in their lives.

The worst is behind them. Now we get them ready and get them home.

Over the coming days we'll introduce you to each of them properly, so you can get to know Scarlett, Henry and Rosie one at a time.
