After years of wanting, the cats have a Catio! The family came round and we put together a free standing unit. In the future we’ll get one that attaches to a house but for now the cats are learning to wander to the catio and wait to go in. Being Korats it didn’t take long for Kaya and Maia to work it out!
Now we have the shell, we can decorate over the coming months!

Yanui left this morning with his new family. Yanui was the slightly shyer kitten when younger and would observe and then do but not anymore! He is a very sweet, cuddly, bold, purry, upside down kitten who loved to play with Archie. Have fun with your new family Mr Blue!

Yesterday Chayan left for his next adventure. Chayan’s new home is in America! Chayan was collected by his pet travel company and spent the night near Heathrow awaiting his flight this morning to Massachusetts.
There’s always one in a litter who steals your heart slightly more than the rest and he was definitely the one. He is such a sweet, cheeky boy. I hope he has a safe trip and will soon be in the arms of his eagerly waiting new owners and then to meet their other Korat in time, also a Saluay baby.

What a fabulous day we had yesterday. Think it has just sunk in how well my beautiful Maia did!
We made the short trip from the hotel to the show hall for the Wessex and Three counties cat club joint shows. We went through vetting in fine (often Maia’s least favourite part) and as soon as we were at the pen she reasonably patiently waited for me to set up to go in. In she went as if she’d never been away, so far so good!
Off we went for breakfast while Maia did her magic! Maia claimed her self not one but two Olympian certificates out of a class of 8 and 9 of the top cats in show. She was awarded Best of Breed and 1st in her misc class in the Wessex. I’d kept her to just one class in the other show as it was her first show back after a break for her kittens.
Later in the afternoon Maia was awarded Best of Variety Section 4 Adult in the Wessex Show and got a beautiful big gold rosette and then to top it off she was awarded Overall Best Section 4! Off to the top pens for Maia! Her steward handled her really well for the BIS judge.
The overall Best in Show went to a beautiful Asian, who also won the other show!
Maia and I then started our long journey home where I could look back at all the pictures from the day while she slept. Not bad for her first show after 8 months away!

Maia is enjoying a hotel night away in Hampshire tonight! Lots of beauty sleep ready for tomorrow.
