🚨 HOT WEATHER WARNING 🚨

As temperatures rise over the next week, it’s vital to remember the dangers of leaving your dog in a car even for just a couple of minutes. Cars can become dangerously hot very quickly, putting dogs at serious risk of heat stroke and death.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat stroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting
• Collapse

If you see a dog in distress inside a hot car, call 999 immediately. Please do not attempt to gain entry yourself.

The Renters' Rights Act: What you need to know 🏠

In less than one week, the law in England is changing. Tenants will have a legal right to request keeping pets in their private rental home, and landlords will no longer be allowed to unreasonably refuse.

This change makes the joys of pet ownership a real possibility for millions of people living in rental properties, at a time when our centres are packed full of animals in need of loving homes.
