When you've worked in rescue for 20 years, it really is the biggest privilege to see so many of our charges move on to have wonderful, fulfilled and well-lived lives.

Following on from our tribute, a nod to these wonderful Harbour Babies who may have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but still live on in the memory of our charity - and of course, in the hearts of their wonderful pawrents. 🌈

🌼 PHOTO CALL - May Entries 🌼

Would you believe we are already in the month of May?! And finally the good weather ☀️ has finally made an appearance, setting the scene for May's cover photo competition theme! To be featured, we want you to share your photos of your Harbour Babies in their "happy places" - making biscuits optional. We're looking for your photos of pure contentment - leave them in the comments below - or send to us via DM! The winner will be selected as our Facebook May cover photo star.

We remember every Harbour Baby who has come into our rescue - but there are some cases, like John (now Teddy) that we'll always hold close to our heart. 💛

When he first came into the rescue, he was extremely traumatised from his time spent as a stray and when we came to his aid he was in immense pain from a severely fractured leg and dislocated and smashed shoulder and facial injuries. With critical surgery to remove the injured leg and the right care and rehabilitation - and most crucially, matching him with the perfect pawrents, he quickly transformed into the happiest little man we could have hoped for. The love they have shown this beat up street cat has shown him the love and compassion he needed to blossom into a snuggly and cheeky chap, who has been adored by his entire adoptive family. We truly cannot thank them enough for all they have done for this handsome boy.

He's sadly now entering the last season of his life - supported through a terminal illness by his incredible pawrent - and knowing that he has led such a wonderful, fulfilled life is the reason we started Sunny Harbour to begin with. 🐾

How did a litter of kittens end up inside the cavity of a school wall?

There's never a dull moment in rescue - and here Paul shares why kittens are always the biggest offender of mischief!

You may have heard of a dancing dog, but what about a dancing cat? Well, our volunteer Laura has recently found that Harbour Baby, Beetle, has been wanting to join in on training sessions with his canine big sister - he's since learned a few moves...and rumour has it may have sharper heelwork too. 😹🕺🐾

Do you have an unusual way you keep your Harbour Baby entertained?

Earlier this year at Scotiacon, we were lucky enough to share our story with many of you. This is the story of Rodney - a case that has stayed with us over the years!

Do you have a garden pond? 🐸

As the weather heats up, more and more visitors may make their way to your pond to cool down - cats included! But not all are good swimmers - so remember to include access and escape routes within your pond - such as logs, or a gradual slope - these are important for cats and wildlife who may stop to drink and accidentally fall in.

Things going missing and you're not sure why? Your feline friend could be the culprit... like Bear!

We had a good chuckle when Bear's pawrent, Kayren shared this cheeky chappy's antics with us, "Back when we had to wear masks, I kept on finding them ripped up round the house and then I saw the culprit in action, Bear!"

Glad to see he's still causing mischief! 🐾 If you have a Harbour Baby update, we'd love to hear from you - make sure to share in the comments and keep us in the loop!
