🐾 To All Dog Owners 🐾

Just a reminder to all dog owners of the heat this bank holiday and the rest of the week.
Yes, it’s lovely and warm outside for us humans but, dogs can’t cool down as efficiently as we can.
Best times of day to walk your doggos:
-Early morning 🌅 before 7am
-Late evening 🌆 between 8-10pm
If in doubt, use the weather app to check.

During these hot times, you can place a wet towel/blanket on the (preferably tiled) floor and let them lay on top if they want too. Do not lay it over them as this can cause them to overheat more quickly by trapping their escaping body heat.
Furthermore, please refrain from putting ice in their water bowl as their body will react as if it’s cold outside and will warm them up more. Tap water is much safer.

Next week will be warm due to the heat wave ☀️ but rest assured, there will be a fan and plenty of water (as usual). If I feel like it’s necessary, there’ll only be morning appointments available, for your dog’s safety and wellbeing. I’ll update you all closer to the time.
