This is Toby, I had the pleasure of walking and working with this boy, I definitely developed a soft spot, unfortunately I have learnt that his owner has passed and he is now in kennels with rspca looking for adoption.
Toby isn’t your average boy and does need some special requirements that the rspca can help you with! And any info I can give you I’m happy too if serious…
I’m hoping we can get this boy the love and attention he deserves for the rest of his life❤️

Meet Toby our handsome collie. Lovely Toby is grieving a little as his owner sadly passed away.Toby loves his food, walks well on the lead, has good recall and will […]

⚠️ Know the Signs: Dog Body Language Before a Fight ⚠️
Dogs rarely “snap out of nowhere.” Most give clear warning signals — we just have to know what to look for. Understanding these signs can help prevent conflicts and keep everyone safe 🐾
Here are some key signals to watch for:
🔸 Stiff body posture – A dog that suddenly freezes or becomes rigid is not relaxed.
🔸 Hard staring – Prolonged, direct eye contact can be a challenge, not curiosity.
🔸 Closed mouth & tight lips – Especially if they were relaxed moments before.
🔸 Raised hackles – Fur standing up along the back signals heightened arousal.
🔸 Low growling or rumbling – This is a warning, not “bad behavior.”
🔸 Ears pinned back or forward – Both can signal tension depending on context.
🔸 Tail position changes – High and stiff or low and tucked can both indicate stress.
🔸 Lip licking or yawning (out of context) – Subtle signs of discomfort.
🚫 Important: Never move quickly before the fight has started as it could trigger the fight
do instead:
• Stay calm
• Create space between dogs
• Avoid reaching into tense situations
• Redirect attention if possible
Learning to read dog body language isn’t just helpful — it’s essential. It allows us to advocate for our dogs, prevent fights, and build trust.

A well-informed owner is a dog’s best protection.
