Lluest Horse and Pony Trust is a small, independent registered charity founded in 1985 and based at the edge of the beautiful Br

econ Beacons. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses, ponies and donkeys who have been the victims of cruelty, neglect and abandonment, helping them to recover from their often traumatic experiences and go on to lead happy and fulfilling lives in approved, loving loan homes. We care for up to thirty equines at any one time on the farm, with approximately 160 horses on long term loan, and others in short term foster homes.

We are so proud of Lluest Timmy and Connie! 🥰 Timmy was rescued as an abandoned little c**t who was rather angry at the time.

Connie came to us after a walker found her trying to desperately suckle from her dead mother during the first lockdown of March 2026.

Just as the snow and ice from the weekend were finally retreating, we’re now battening down the hatches for Storm Goretti 🌬️❄️

We’re hoping access to and from the farm won’t be too disrupted, but with us sitting in the foothills of the Black Mountains we’re not taking any chances. A delivery of hay and straw has arrived just in case, and thankfully we have members of staff living on site to keep a close eye on everyone and continue care.

We’re currently in an Amber warning area, with increased winds and heavy sleet and rain already making themselves known (very rudely).

Our thoughts are with those in the Red weather warning areas, particularly in Cornwall. We’re hoping you all come through with minimal damage — stay safe out there 💙
