Some boy, Odin. 💙

He’s doing really well.

Today he surprised us by settling and lying down on his mat when asked. That might sound like a small thing, but for Odin it was a big moment.

He’s an independent guy. He likes making his own choices and, honestly, why shouldn’t he?

What made today special wasn’t that he had to do what we asked. It was that he chose to.

When we create the right environment, build trust, and make things worthwhile, dogs often show us what they’re capable of.

Today, Odin chose to slow down, settle, and work with us.

And that’s progress worth celebrating. 🐾💙

🐾💛 Wonderful first session today with 8 month old Elsa and her wonderful guardian.

Now, Elsa is a working-line Labrador… and as someone who shares their home with four of them, I can confidently say that working Labs come pre-installed with opinions, enthusiasm, and approximately three times more energy than seems biologically necessary. 😆

Lead walking? Why stroll when you could be conducting an urgent investigation into every smell, leaf, bird, puddle, and passing human?

Greeting people? Why calmly say hello when you can arrive with the enthusiasm of a long-lost relative returning from sea?

But underneath all that enthusiasm, Elsa is also a young adolescent who finds some things a little overwhelming. Like many teenage dogs, she can be a bit unsure of herself and will often use friendly, bouncy, fawning behaviour as a way of navigating the world and the people in it.

Today was about looking beyond the pulling and jumping up, understanding what Elsa is communicating, and helping her guardians support her in a way that builds confidence rather than simply managing behaviour.

With a baby on the way, it’s completely understandable to feel a little overwhelmed by a teenage working Lab whose life motto appears to be “FULL SPEED AHEAD!” 🚀

The good news is that Elsa is exactly what she should be, a bright, sensitive, enthusiastic young Labrador who is still figuring out the world. With guidance, consistency, and a little patience, that enthusiasm and uncertainty can develop into confidence and calm.

She was an absolute joy to work with, and her guardian was fantastic. I’m already looking forward to seeing what we achieve together over the next few sessions. 🐶💛

☀️ What a wonderful couple of weeks it’s been.

I spent an amazing holiday with my parents near Béziers, enjoying sunshine, laughter and some precious quality time together. ❤️

Then it was home just long enough to head off to Manchester with two beautiful friends, Lynsey and Holly. We tackled the Crystal Maze, sang our hearts out at Take That with The Script and Belinda Carlisle, explored the city on a mystery tour, ate far too much good food, enjoyed a few drinks, and laughed until our cheeks hurt. 💎🎶🍹

Yesterday was the perfect end to it all. A sunny day in the garden with my husband and my dogs. 🐾🌿

I really have been spoiled with the weather every step of the way, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful. ☀️

Now it’s time to get back to doing what I love. I can’t wait to catch up with all my wonderful clients and spend time with your amazing dogs again. See you all soon! 🐶❤️
