CLASS TIMES

Hi all

We're fully back to normal now for classes at Roby Community Centre, Merton Crescent, Huyton, L36 4LD

TUESDAYS

7pm General Obedience
This class is for new dogs, beginners and dogs with reactivity or impulse control issues (Highly reactive dogs will require a 1-1 to be assessed and begin rehabilitation before joining classes, if you arent sure about your dogs level of reactivity please get in touch to discuss)

General obedience class teaches you all the basics of dog training and dog ownership, basic obedience exercises, teaching calm and focus as well as any other issues you may be facing.

8pm Advanced Obedience
This class is for dogs who can display a level of self control and Obedience training and who have attended our General Obedience classes already. No new dogs will be admitted to this class without prior attendance to the general obedience class so I can assess their suitability.

Advanced Obedience expands on what we learn in General Obedience and introduces new disciplines and techniques such as agility, tracking and scentwork etc

SUNDAYS

10am
Reactive Class
This class is generally a smaller group class that allows us to focus more on individual dogs and their issues to get them under control before graduating on to either the General Obedience Class or Advanced Obedience Class

11am
Puppy/General Obedience Class
This is the class for new and beginner owners and dogs covering all the basic exercises and theory required to train your dogs and graduate on to our Advanced Obedience Class. No Reactive dogs will be entered into this class until they can demonstrate a level of self control.

12pm
Advanced Obedience
This class is for dogs who can display a level of self control and Obedience training and who have attended our General Obedience classes already. No new dogs will be admitted to this class without prior attendance to the general obedience class so I can assess their suitability.

Advanced Obedience expands on what we learn in General Obedience and introduces new disciplines and techniques such as agility, tracking and scentwork etc

Classes are £15 per dog per class

People are welcome to attend multiple classes each week or to switch between Tuesdays and Sundays at their convenience.

We also have 2 pack walks each month at various locations which allows us to take what we've learned in class and transfer it to the real world in a controlled and safe way.

Dogs learn to be around other dogs safely and calmly while implementing strategies that allow you to take your dog everywhere with you.

Pack walks are every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month and are £5 per dog.

1-1 sessions at your home or a place of your choosing are also available on request.

It's 1 year today since I had to let my boy Buster go. The house has never been the same without him. My best friend is gone and nothing can fill the emptiness he has left behind.

It's the little things I miss. Seeing his face when I come down the stairs, seeing him through the glass in the door watching for me to come home, gently asking for affection with his paw on my knee, waiting patiently at the bottom of the stairs if i ever dared to use the bathroom, snoring on his bed while i was watching tv, his head on my shoulder having a cuddle or the gentle licks he used to give me on the chin whenever he got the chance, our long walks or his excitement when his dinner was being put out. There was so much more to him but those mundane every day things are what I miss most.

Make the most of the time you have, take that walk in the rain, go to the beach, train, work, play and enjoy, you don't know when it will end.

Wve finally got access back at Roby Community Centre, Merton Crescent, Huyton, L36 4LD.

We will be having 1 class tonight which is our advanced class but people who attend the beginner/puppy class are welcome to attend also.

Also o a little update.

The council have now completed their checks and have informed me that we will be able to have access once they have arranged for keys to be sent out to me.

That means we could be back at Robby in as little as a week or 2.

Thanks for being patient and for your continued dedication to your dogs training given the changes of venue recently, I really appreciate it.

Anyway, see you all tomorrow
