Good morning all, just a heads up for those that weren't at classes last week.

There are no classes tomorrow as it's Easter Sunday.

Normal classes resume on Tuesday 7'th at 7pm and next Sunday 12'th from 10am.

I'll also very arranging the first Pack Walk for the month for next week on the 11'th.

Please wear weather appropriate clothes and footwear.

All dogs who attend the classes are welcome although extremely young pups might find it a bit long as we are out for up to 2 hours. I suggest at least 6 months old to attend.

We do have a break half way round in a cafe or bar wherever one is available. Thats to allow dogs a rest but also to practice calm behaviour in busy public places.

Please bring long lines as it's a great place to work on our recall.

Great news everyone, Kara has been found, she got caught up in the brambles by her lead and got stuck overnight.

She was found safe and unharmed this morning in the area we were searching yesterday, but she couldnt be seen in the thick growth and didn't make a sound when we were calling her.

Thanks to everyone who came out and gave up their time and thanks to you all for following and sharing.

Great work everyone, what a great little community we've created!

Dog School 2026

Classes start back up again this Sunday 4'th Jan 2026

Whatever class you were coming to before Christmas then you can start the new year by attending that class unless you were informed otherwise before the break.

New puppies and dogs are always welcome, any age, size, breed and temperaments, spaces are currently available in each class.

10am Beginner/Puppy Class
11am Intermediate Class
12pm Advanced Obedience

I am making a change to the classes for the new year. Reactive dogs are welcome but if your dog is too uncontrollable in a class environment then you may require some private 1-1 sessions to get them ready for group classes, which I also offer.

Classes are 1 hour and are £15 per dog.

Only 1 dog per handler unless agreed otherwise by myself.

Classes take place every Sunday at:
Roby Community Centre
Merton Crescent
Huyton
L36 4LD

Our classes cover all aspects of basic training including Obedience training as well as common problem behaviours and socialising and much more.

Our Pack Walks will also resume on the 17'th January for those that attended classes

I am also available for 1-1 behavioural work covering all aspects of dog behaviour and rehabilitation for any and all issues that you may come across, as well as offering 1-1 private Obedience training.

CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGE

Tuesdays

Just a minor change, from tonight, going forward there will only be 1 advanced class at 7pm on Tuesdays instead of 8pm and i am doing away with the earlier class altogether for the time being at least.

Sunday classes remain the same

Excellent work today everyone, 11am class was bedlam today, lots of new dogs, lots of energy, remember to work on all the things we covered today, focus, loose lead walking, sit, down, stay and recall. Make your dogs earn the love and rewards you give them and be firm but not mean. Keep it up guys, we'll get them there.

Fantastic advanced class today also, really calm, no reactivity at all and great focus from all the dogs, some great work with the sendaways also.

PACK WALK

We'll be having our pack walk tomorrow at Carr Mill Dam for all those who'd like to attend.

Pack walks are a great way for us to get out in public and put into practice all the things we're learning in class as well as a great way to carry out some structured socialising and get our steps up.

Anyone who attends classes is welcome to join us as long as the dog is over 6 months old as we walk for around 2 hours with a little break included in there.

£5 per dog

We'll be meeting at the Toby Carvery on East Lancashire Road at 10:30am
