🌟SD COOL CHICK- Looking for new home 🌟

We bought this little mare a couple of years ago and she’s been maturing with us ever since. She’s a beautiful little thing but she’s just too small for us at 13hh. She’s four years old this year and is ready to start a job. She’s currently untouched and living in a field, ready for someone to put their stamp on her.

She’d make a lovely ridden for a small adult or child once broken in and although she’s TGCA registered, she would qualify to be overstamped with chaps.

Alternatively I’d be willing to put her in foal with Smith for a potentially beautiful silver dapple foal for 2027.

Up to date with worming feet and teeth. X

🌟Foal No.9 - Lugs x Smith foal🌟
Early hours this morning saw the arrival of our Lugs x Smith foal. We got a beautiful c**t, just like mum 🥰

I’m back in the house now, refuelling with a much needed coffee and hoping the caffeine will keep me going through the day ahead. There’s something truly special about sitting quietly with a hot cuppa after being up through the night, reflecting on another successful birth. I’m tired, but incredibly grateful to share these precious moments with my mares.

The trust they place in me never fails to amaze me. In their most vulnerable moments, when they look to me for reassurance, being able to comfort them—and sometimes lend a helping hand—fills me with such overwhelming emotions of love and pride. It’s a privilege I never take for granted, and moments like these make my heart swell with gratitude. ❤️

It's that time of year as gain. THE TGCA COB STAR AWARDS only three weeks of nominations left!! 🤩

🌟🌟TR Hot Chocco x Tines Smith Foal 🌟🌟

Over the years we have been building a herd of mares with what we believe to be some of the all time greatest stallions bloodlines both past and present.

Last night we saw the arrival of a beautiful huge c**t, sired by our own Tines Smith but the nod is definitely there to his dams sire - another incredible stallion that we are honoured to have a few horses by - that is Rio!! Incase you don't know who he is I've included a picture at the end. There is no mistaking where his colour comes from. But of course colour is nice but it isn't everything, just take a look at his dam. Coco (the dam) needs no words. She is full sister to our stallion Jesse and is pure quality. She has it all- conformation, bone, size, feather, presence and mind.

You’ll have seen some incredible mares over the last few days as our foals have hit the ground. I haven't had time to share them all yet, they've been coming thick and fast and I have serious sleep deprivation, but if you are looking for a beautiful foal, foals that are born out of quality with not just pretty marking but the whole package, it's here at Abrams Farm. Come and take your pick!!!

These pictures were all taken within the first two hours of being born. The care we put into our girls is unmistakable, just look at her, again another ready for the show ring within minutes if giving birth. I can not wait to see how this one unfolds!!

🌟🌟First TR Jesse James foal is here!!!🌟🌟
What a busy few days we’ve had!! We’ve had three more foals arrive since I last posted, but last nights was a special one. The first ever Jesse James foal was born and what a cracker he is!!🤩

I’ve been so excited to meet this foal and he did not disappoint!! He’s huge!! Both his dam (TR Harrison’s Legacy) and sire are 15hh, so he’s sure to be a big boy. Considering his legs are nearly as long as his mums at only a couple of hours old, there’s no doubt about whether he’ll make that height or not!! I can’t wait to see him unfold and take shape.

Sticking with the outlaw/ western theme we’ve decided to call him ‘Abrams The Gunslinger’. Welcome to the world little man you are absolutely beautiful 😍

🌟🌟TR Delta Dawn x Tines Smith filly🌟🌟

There’s a little story behind this mare and how our paths crossed. A few years back a breeder in the US had bought her dam in Ireland, who was at the time in foal with Dawn, and she’d been sent to me to foal with a plan of transporting her out to the US after foaling. Her dam was an amazing mare called ‘Black Magic’ who although was completely feral at the time, I loved and bonded with instantly. I tried to persuade the owner to let me buy her but he wanted her back home and I didn’t blame him, I wouldn’t have wanted to sell either!! The foal arrived- Dawn, sired by The General- and again I tried to buy the foal but the owner had other plans.

Both the mare and foal ended up staying with us for nearly 12 months before they made the trip back to Ireland and were then going on to the US, or so I thought. I’m not actually sure what happened in that time afterwards, I know Black Magic did make it to the US eventually, but is not with the original owners.

Anyway about 18 months ago maybe a bit longer we put an advert up looking for big mares and we were sent an image of Dawn running in a field in France at a distance, but at the time we didn’t know it was her. We liked her and bought her off that one picture - crazy I know but we did!! We knew the filly we were buying was supposed to have been sired by The General but as I thought Dawn was in the US I didn’t make the link. I’m a big, big fan of The General so I had faith that she would be a good filly. She eventually arrived here and then we realised it was Dawn who I’d foaled a couple of years earlier. It was fate, she’d come back to me 💕. She was in poor condition, had ticks and problems with her liver but I knew we could fix her. We got rid of the ticks, fed her properly and let her live out on good grass to mature and heal the damage to her liver.

She’s now 15hh++ (haven’t had a stick on her to measure), fully recovered, fit and well and gave us a beautiful black filly last night (Sired by our Tines Smith) who is the spitting image of her mum right down to the little black spots on her nose. 😍

And look at her, these pictures were taken less than an hour after foaling and she looks incredible, like she could walk straight into the show ring. I love this girl, she’s going nowhere else and will hopefully spend many more years to come with us. I need a name for her filly though, something that respects our journey together…… suggestions welcome.
