Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary Registered Charity Number 1157210 is a small foster home based animal sanctuary in the Merseyside area, set up in July 2013. We primarily focus on rescuing unwanted/stray cats and rabbits, however we will aim to help any animal in need. We currently have several foster homes

We have a strict non-destruction policy and will keep every animal in our care until a forever home can be found. We carry out home visits on prospective new homes, this is to ensure that the area is safe/suitable and also provide a time for advice on adopting a rescue pet and answering any questions the prospective owner has. Home visits are not to look at how clean a house is or
what the decor is like! All Rescue Me animals are deflea'd, wormed, microchipped, neutered (if the animal is too young, he/she will be recalled for neutering). Our philosophy is to accept an animal into our care based solely on its need and not on any other physical characteristic, providing we have a suitable foster home free. We believe that by looking after a rescue pet in a home environment we are able to fully assess the animal, understand its needs and the type of home he/she will require and ultimately match them to a suitable home. We are very excited about our new venture but currently only have a handful of volunteers, with more support we can achieve things faster and rescue even more needy animals...please come and join us, we'll welcome you aboard!!! ❤️‍🩹Another Poorly Puppy!❤️‍🩹

🪑Poor little Mindy the Shihtzu puppy, fell off a bar stool on Bank Holiday Monday & is our 3rd animal admitted in the last 3 weeks with a broken leg! Mindy’s owners were unable to pay for her veterinary treatment and so signed her over and she is now in our care.

🩺 The vets determined Mindy had suffered multiple greenstick fractures in her hind leg. Treatment for this kind of injury involves STRICT crate rest which is very challenging for a puppy. We are keeping her as still as we can so that she heals.

⭐️ Mindy is just one of many medical complex medical animals in our care at present. We are currently at capacity & our vet bills are much higher than usual. If you can support us at all with a one off or monthly donation it would help enormously! Please visit www.rescueme.org.uk/donate

🐈🧡 Wanted: One Human Staff Member for Her Royal Highness Teegan 👑

After 9 years of perfecting the art of being a cat, Teegan is searching for a quiet INDOOR kingdom and a human who understands that affection is a privilege, not a right.

This beautiful ginger lady enjoys the finer things in life: comfy sofas, Dreamies, lap time, head bumps and being adored. In return, she'll reward her chosen person with purrs, companionship and enough personality to fill an entire house.

Now, full disclosure: Teegan does occasionally wake up and choose sass. If she's not in the mood, she'll let you know she'd prefer a little personal space. She's not looking for chaos, other pets or young children—just a calm, understanding home where she can relax and be herself.

Think of her as less "high maintenance" and more "luxury edition."

Teegan is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, parasite treated and recently had a dental, so she's feeling fabulous and ready for her next chapter. She's currently in foster in Preston.

If your idea of the perfect companion is a loving older cat with a little bit of spice and a lot of character, Teegan may just be the girl you've been waiting for.

🛟 Remember our little family found last week in a generator on Liverpool’s docks? Look at them now! The group have settled in nicely at HQ over the last few days & are much happier in their new accommodation!

🩺 They’ve been checked over by our vet and everyone is happy, healthy & growing as they should!

💔 Meet little Rolo our latest broken arrival 💔

At only 8 months old Rolo has come into our care as his owners couldn't afford treatment after he broke his leg. We are absolutely bursting at the moment and have no space but we couldn't say no to his little sad face! 😞

Rolo was reviewed by our vet team and sadly he had a very complex fracture which was highly unlikely to be easily fixed so the decision was taken to amputate. We know from our experience with wonky animals that they thankfully adapt very easily He had his surgery on Monday and is recovering really well and already seems to be much happier.

💚 At RescueMe we rely solely on gifts & donations to continue helping the animals most in need. Although we have an amazing vet suite on site this still costs us a HUGE amount of money to run.

🌹❤️ XTRAORDINARILY PRETTY XITA IS LOOKING 👀 FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🐾🏡

Xita is a beautiful, healthy tortie-tabby cat, aged about 2-years. She came into us as a stray, with her two kittens, who she has done a brilliant job of raising. She is now ready to ‘fly the nest’ herself and find her own home. Despite having a rough start, she settled into her foster home well, so shouldn’t take too long settling into her forever home.

Xita is a clever little cat and has a calm, wise personality. She has a stunning striped coat and large yellow -green eyes. She has taken the job of bringing up her kittens seriously, but it’s now time for her to get back out there and restart her life with a loving family of her own. She is a real character and makes her foster family laugh by collecting things from around the house and bringing them to her bed ❤️. She loves sitting next to her fosterers and getting strokes on the neck but, when she’s had enough, she’ll let you know!

Xita will need a pet- free home, with no young children. Any children in a home should be aged 13-years+. She is in foster in West Derby and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. She will need outdoor access once settled in her new home.

👻 😻GORGEOUS GREGARIOUS GENGAR IS READY TO GO HOME 🐾🏡

This sweet 14-week-old shadow is a bundle of fun and a purring machine. He loves to play ☄️ and is very confident when exploring new places. Gengar just wants to be involved with whatever his humans are doing! When he finally tires out, he likes to sleep curled up in his bed or on his fosterer’s shoulder. Gengar is a wonderful companion who just wants an active, playful home to call his own!

Gengar is still very rambunctious and sometimes uses his teeth too hard when he’s playing, as such he would do better in a home without young children. Any children in a home will need to be aged 8-years+. He can be homed with a friendly resident cat and is young enough to get used to a calm cat-savvy dog.

Gengar is in foster in Anfield (L4) and has been neutered, microchipped, parasite treated and has had his first vaccination. If interested in adopting him, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £150 and vetting applies.

🐶 Background; Came into our care as her owner passed away so we have limited background history on her
🐶 Personality; Lovely friendly girl who is full of beans & loves everyone she meets
💩 House training; Unknown, so may need help while settling
🏃‍♀️Exercise; Very active girl for her breed, but care is needed with pugs in hot weather
🏡 Home/garden needs; Needs direct access to a secure garden to help with toilet training
👶Minimum age of children; 10 year old
🐕Resident dogs (must be already neutered, this is not negotiable); Gets on great with other dogs, lived with other dogs previously
🐈 Cat tested; Suitable to live with dog savvy cats
🩺 Medical issues; Pugs are known for their medical issues so whilst she has a clean bill of health from our vet people need to be aware of issues regarding the breed.

❤️🌹ADORABLE ARLA IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🐾🏡

Beautiful calico girl, Arla, is 9.5 years old and was homed by us as a kitten. Sadly, she had been returned to our care, as she couldn’t cope with the new babies in her home.

Arla went to her foster home on the 3rd May and, in that short time, they've fallen in love with this sweet, gentle little lady.
She's an absolute purr monster, who loves to be with her people and to climb on a lap for cuddles, head and chin tickles and, if a gentle brushing is involved then even better!

As Arla is an older lady, she isn't attracted to energetic playing but definitely likes her catnip toys, is confident in exploring the home and also likes to sit and watch the birds in the garden. She has her own cat bed, which she snuggles up in during the day and also has her own little hiding place, where she can snooze. At night, however, she insists in sleeping on her fosterers’ bed - after she's made sure to receive enough chin tickles and head scratches first!

Arla loves her food 🍲and isn't a fussy eater. She uses her litter tray perfectly and is also happy to be picked up...... or should I say "scooped up", as she's quite a big girlie 😁. She can be quite chatty but has a very cute tiny, squeaky little voice.

With her gorgeous calico colouring, Arla has a rather quirky, quizzical expression which can look a bit judgemental 😼 but this belies her sweet and gentle nature. She really hasn't put a paw wrong since she's been in foster! 🥰

Arla would appreciate a quiet, pet free, adult only home. She does get worried at the sound of a barking dog and can flinch at sudden, loud noises but she doesn't hide and instantly forgets her brief fright. She is in foster in Skelmersdale and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and is fully vaccinated.

🐈❤️ TERRIFIC TEEGAN IS LOOKING 👀 FOR HER FOREVER INDOOR HOME 🐾🏡

Teegan is a 9-year old girly, in the prime of her life. She is looking for a forever INDOOR home where she can cuddle up on the sofa 🛋️ and be treated like the queen she is. She's got BIG ginger energy and, for a small cat, she's got lots of love to give 🧡

Teegan was homed by us as a kitten and came to us when her adopter could no longer care for her. During her time in her foster home, Teegan has taken a bit of time to settle in but don't let this put you off. She does enjoy the quieter things in life and, once you build up trust with her (with Dreamies 👀), she will be your best friend 😻

Teegan rewards her humans with a lot of love, headbumps and purring. She can become quite overstimulated, especially when she is unsure or feels threatened. Because of this, we are looking for a home without other cats, dogs or young children. She may be OK with sensible older children, aged 13-years+, who know when to give Teegan some space. She sometimes plays with toys ☄️🧸 but would much prefer to sit on her human’s lap or snuggle up beside them.

Teegan has recently recovered from a dental, where she had to have some teeth removed, so, although she is now a little gummy, this doesn't put her off her food. She's a clean girl and very well litter trained.

Teegan has been neutered, treated for parasites, microchipped and had been fully vaccinated. She is in foster in Preston.
