And that’s a wrap !!!

Maternity leave is calling me now 😂 hardest 3 weeks physically and mentally of my life i don’t no how Iv survived!!! Christmas dog grooming rush and pregnancy do not mix well 😂. The last 9 Months have been a real challenge, Iv not had the easiest of rides but we are almost there now.

I just want to thank all my wonderful clients over the past few months who have been so understanding when grooms have overrun, Iv had to swap dates or times due to hospital/doctors appointments, and believe me there has been loads 😂. I also want to thank all of you for the absolute wonderful and beautiful gifts for Baby M, me and paul are completely overwhelmed and love them. He is one spoilt little boy already. You guys have honestly been so generous and thoughtful. We truly are grateful.

I’m so sorry to anyone I couldn’t get in to groom this year but believe me I have worked every hour I physically could to accommodate, i apologise to anyone I haven’t got back to because Iv been physically exhausted when I finish work.

I want to also thank my little worker army because without, my mum, sister, paul, dad and auntie marg I don’t no how I would of got anything done and would of gave up weeks ago. Honestly have the best support network around me and I’m so lucky!

Time now to get organised and rest for the next 2 and abit weeks, before our son’s arrival 💙( hopefully not sooner, please don’t make an early appearance your clothes are still in bags and not washed haha 😂🤞) we can’t wait to meet him and start the next chapter of our lives 💕 there are so many people looking forward to welcoming him. He is one lucky boy.

Hamper boxes ready to pre-order for Xmas !!!! All of our hampers have been carefully selected to spoil your wonderful dogs for Christmas. All of our blankets, bandannas, Christmas stockings and sacks are hand made and NOT mass produced or purchased from China. Only the best quality material is used to make these items and all our other products are from top quality retailers. All of our personalised items are embroidered so will last.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me. As you all know I will be finishing in December to go on maternity leave so I will only be taking a limited number of orders this year. Please make sure you get your orders in early so your hamper will be ready to leave early December.

Had a wonderful time at crufts 2023. As always spent way to much but your beautiful pups are worth it. ( photo minus a table and back drop mirror 😆) Absolutely exhausted so a nice chilled day off tomorrow. I will be sorting my diary out so comment below for grooming/teeth cleaning and I’ll message you tomorrow ###

Cleany Teeth Treatment…

This is a preventative treatment which Protects your pet from oral disease and tooth loss. We use an ultrasound toothbrush and a specially formulated ultrasound toothpaste. Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria and cleans the teeth and gums to prevent the build up of plaque and tartar. At the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to heal wounds and stop bleeding.

🎉🎉🎉 10 years of Rachels Dog Grooming 🎉🎉🎉

How is that even possible??? How have I been grooming your beautiful pooches for 10 whole years??? Without you wonderful people it never would of happened. 10 years ago I was working in a school in Warrington full time, working an evening job in the allies social club ( yes many of you have asked why you no my face 🤣, you may of been a little too drunk on a Saturday night to remember the shy barmaid who messed everyone’s orders up haha). Not to mention working in the dog section kennels and being a police special 🙈. Workaholic I no!!!

I worked 18 months killing myself trying to start building up a client base but it didn’t take long at all, and after 18 months I had pretty much a full client base I took the leap and left my crappy dead end paid job working in the school. From then my business grew and grew. Pretty much from the start I had to get in help and my sister became my weekend wing woman!!! Helping me bath and dry the pooches. My mum also assisting when Lou wasn’t available. I can’t thank them enough, not to mention my dad being on call constantly being the maintenance man.

You guys have made my business what it is today. Without you I would never of been as successful as I am. I fell into dog grooming by complete accident, it was never supposed to be a career, it was a bit of pocket money and I wanted to work with the police dogs as a career. The demand for dogs being groomed grew and grew and the weekend hobby became a full time hobby, I still don’t feel like I’m working most days I just love what I do. I jump out of bed and start my monster of a commute to work ( all 3 meters from the back door 🤣). Last year we also expanded and set up dog walking which my husband paul has ran successfully in the last 18 months and I couldn’t be prouder.

Running a dog grooming business has its ups and downs ( mainly ups because I get to interact with dogs all day) as much as I love it, the downside is seeing my much loved pooches growing old, slowing down and developing health issues. It’s so hard getting that text message thanking you for looking after there fur-babies over the years. I love the fact I had a bond with them and they trusted me throughout there lives, not to mention owners, I will never forget them.

I have built so many relationships with my customers, my customers are so lovely I really am so lucky, they can talk to me freely to me, rant and rave even cry and I have done the same 🤣. You guys are amazing!!! However once again the downside of building up these relationships is when owners get sick or pass away. These people are also in my heart and miss talking to them every few weeks.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you for supporting me over the years. I am extremely grateful for your support, loyalty, generosity and genuine care for myself and business. This business wouldn’t of ever been possible or successful without you all 💞 thank you for putting your trust in me 💞

I also want to thank my husband and mum, sister and dad for all the support over the years, working with me, helping me out when I’m running behind, cleaning up after me, supporting me financially when I was setting up, feeding me, listening to me moan or getting stressed out, basically being the back bone of the business. I couldn’t of hit 10 years without you all.

Let’s see what the future holds for Rachels Dog Grooming, role on the next 10 years 💞 I can’t wait to welcome your pooches in to my grooming pod and look forward to meeting all my future customers!!!

I really do have the best job !!!!!

Here is a beautiful photo of the very first dog I groomed, her name was jess and she was a wonderful girl. She was so calm when I was clueless attempting to be a dog groomer. She was prob thinking what is this idiot doing to me, she hasn’t a clue what she is doing 🤣. Unfortunately little Jess recently passed away at the wonderful age of 15, but I thought it was amazing that her mum and dad put so much trust in me and stuck with me for the rest of her life. Unfortunately we have lost so many of my golden oldies over the past 6 month. I loved them all like they was my own and I will never forget them 💞
