It's National Greyhound Day!

We are HUGE fans of this misunderstood breed at Merseyside, almost every staff member will have them in their top three breeds and spending time with their calm personalities is often a welcome respite from some of the day to day madness!

We love to hear from adopters and even more when they tell us how their rescue dogs are living their best lives!

Lily was adopted last November and has been on so many adventures, with her adopters telling us "she’s doing really well and has settled in beautifully! She’s been on lots of road trips, even a ferry to Northern Ireland, and has loved walks in the Peak and Lake District. She’s very loved here and thoroughly spoiled with new toys! We honestly can’t imagine life without her, she’s brought us so much happiness."

This is all we want for all the dogs in our care, for them to find love and adventure, wherever that may be and with a family that loves them.

More little ones safe in our hands today.

This week is Dogs Trust's 135th anniversary! We were previously the National Canine Defence League, started by Lady Gertrude Stock back in 1891, formed to campaign against prolonged chaining and vivisection of dogs.
