🐾 BONNIE – URGENT EXPERIENCED HOME NEEDED 🐾

Bonnie is a 15-month-old young dog with lots of energy and potential. She’s an active girl who needs an experienced, confident home that can offer her structure, consistency, and guidance.

🔹 No children
🔹 Could potentially live with a similar-sized dog, following slow, controlled introductions
🔹 Not dog-reactive outside the home

Bonnie is currently in emergency boarding (EB). She began to develop behavioural challenges, particularly fixating on doors, and her previous owners felt they were unable to manage or train her through this developmental stage.
She is still very young and needs time, patience, and clear leadership to help her settle and thrive.

📍 Location: Liverpool area
⚠️ Urgent: If you have large-breed experience and can offer Bonnie the stability, training, and commitment she needs, please message urgently.

Bonnie deserves the right chance with someone who understands her needs and can help her grow into the dog she’s capable of being. 💛

Statement from Socks’ Sanctuary– Erin, Sarah, and myself

We are absolutely devastated by the horrors that have come to light regarding Save A Paw.

Like many others—including other rescues and even police kennels—we entrusted dogs to Obi. We did not send them blindly. Sarah visited the site personally. We had glowing references from respected figures in the rescue community who vouched for him. During the visit, no red flags were visible—he appeared to care for the dogs genuinely. We received regular updates and photos at first, but in January, those suddenly stopped.

We begged for updates, pleaded for proof of the dogs' wellbeing—but got nothing. Then, the rumours began. Initially, I thought it might be another witch hunt, as I’ve been subject to awful, false accusations myself. But when Obi refused to cooperate, I followed the advice of Tracey Whatmore, gathered all our evidence, and contacted the police. We immediately ceased working with him.

Tracey has been nothing short of phenomenal throughout this ordeal. Thank you for trusting your instincts—we are incredibly grateful.

Looking back, Obi completely pulled the wool over our eyes. I have messages from him—asking random questions like how to groom a Chow, or what brushes to use. It was all an act. I begged him to show us the dogs. He agreed to a visit, but then kept delaying and making excuses. Eventually, communication broke down, and I took the step to go to the police.

We are heartbroken. Personally, I don’t think I’ll ever trust anyone again.

Our focus now is on the dogs we sent. Many of them needed additional support—some were dog-reactive or had behavioural needs. We are praying they made it out. We know that at least one of our dogs did, and she has since been adopted.

We’ll be launching an online campaign to try to locate them. If anyone would like help creating posters, please get in touch—we’re here to help.

For those who know us—myself, Erin, and Sarah—you know how deeply we care. We do everything for the dogs. Obi fooled us. He fooled others. He even fooled the police.

We’ll never get over this. And we carry this guilt with us every single day. That, in itself, is a lifelong punishment
