Guys, I am so sorry for all the messing around this week with my van, but here is my current situation. Anyone with upcoming appointments… I will message you individually as the day goes on. I really just need to sit and have a coffee and feel sorry for myself for an hour first 🥺 then I’ll pull myself together and come up with an action plan. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding. I couldn’t ask for better clients ❤️❤️

Hi guys, with Christmas approaching I want to remind people that a dog is possibly an 18 year commitment, and cats even longer. They’re not just a Christmas prezzie for kids, but an actual living, breathing, feeling being.

You are the responsible adult in the house, please do not get one “for the kids” unless you accept that you will ultimately be the one taking care of him/her.. giving the dog/cat/pet away “because the kids aren’t looking after them” is an embarrassing statement from a grown up.

Also, if you are looking for a new family pet, the rescue centres are rammed full of lovely cats and dogs etc… in desperate need of a home and a place in your heart….
They’re cheaper, chipped, neutered, house trained and the staff can tell you exactly who they are so you will already know which ones will suit your lifestyle/family…. Win win

Buying puppies/kittens is the creator of the above problem as well as so much cruelty you don’t get to see… I assure you.. you are still contributing.

While it is none of my business what you do…. It is certainly my business who I work with, so anyone who contacts me in January asking for a puppy groom will not receive a response

Hey lovelies. I will no longer be messaging clients when they are due. I will be able to give you your next appointment at the current appointment. If you don’t want to book your next appointment, then you will have to contact me when you’re ready and I will try to fit you in but it does fill up fast and the next available appointing could be a month away.

When I do give you your appointment, can you please write it on your phone, in the diary, on the calendar, message it to me, or whatever system you use to remember your other appointments.

The whole point of me doing it this way is so that I don’t have to spend my days off working, as in searching through my diary and messaging lots of clients as so so many people still messaging me asking when it is even though I’ve already given them the appointment. As much as I love you all, I don’t want to spend what little time I have going over work I’ve already done.

I’m sure we can all agree that we all work hard and deserve to switch off on our days off

Well, I feel it necessary to close the page on chapter 2023 a day early.

Thank you all so very much for supporting my little business and for your continuing support. It really does mean a lot.

Even bigger thanks to all our furry friends who are so patient with their grooms… and those who are not so much 😂 I love each and every one of you 🐶 true story!!

I won’t end a year with out a special shout out to all our little ones we lost, the ones who didn’t make it with us into 2024… at least in body. I know they’ll be by your side in spirit always.

Guys this is far from a personal dig at one person because this is happening on a daily basis now… so unfortunately, anyone paying bank transfer must pay before I leave your property (unless discussed BEFORE the groom).

“when you get the chance” is no longer acceptable for me, just as it wouldn’t be for Tesco or Asda

Leaving me waiting to get paid for sometimes days and having to ask is just totally disrespectful.

I’m a dog groomer which means I have a million clients to choose from. I can afford to be fussy.

I will not take deposits, I just simply won’t work with anyone I feel the need to take one from.

Guys, I will no longer be allowing dogs with fleas in my van. It is your responsibility to make sure your dog doesn’t have fleas. (Just as it’s not the hairdresser’s responsibility to deal with your kids nits). I will check them over before the appointment. If they have fleas they won’t be coming in so I strongly suggest you take care of it beforehand.

I have dogs to groom after yours and I don’t want to be the reason they get fleas. The spray costs me £14 + petrol to your house and overheads…. I would be working for pennies… my cat is also allergic to fleas so there will no longer be any acceptions for ANYONE

THE FLEAS LIVE IN YOUR HOUSE, not just on the dog so THE HOUSE MUST BE DONE THOUROUGHLY

Flea treatment from the vet is best for the dog. But If you’re getting frontline from pets at home, make it front line plus…. As my mum always says…. “You pay cheap, you pay twice”
