Trewint Herd of Pedigree South Devon Cattle Pedigree South Devon Suckler herd of 140 cows, 2023 national herd winners,sellers of breeding stock

Trewint Farm has belonged to the Rowe family since 1947 where Stuart Rowe started the Trewint herd of pedigree South Devons with just eight cows. The herd now comprises of 140 cows which is run and managed by Peter Rowe and his son Ashley. The herd is very successful as it has won the national herd competition four times in recent years. The farm has won many prizes at major and local shows includ

ing breed champion and supreme. Trewint herd also holds the record for top priced bull ever to be sold at a society sale! All female progeny is sold for breeding animals with some retained for replacements. The very best males are selected for breeding bulls and sold to other beef herds and the remainder are finished as bull beef using home grown cereals.

🎉What a day 🎉 Absolutely over the moon to achieve Male and Female champion on Wednesday. So chuffed to have all three of our bulls gaining 1st place in their classes.
