🎤🐾 EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: 5 Minutes with Puck, the Dog Who Sniffs Out Selective Hearing
Q: Puck, what exactly is selective hearing?
Puck: It’s when humans hear “want a drink?” loud and clear, but mysteriously miss “can you bring in the washing ?” I don’t need a lab in a coat to tell you—it reeks of dodgy.
Q: So… you can actually smell it?
Puck: Yep. When a person’s ignoring another human’s inconvenient requests, their body chemistry changes. I can pick that odour up like a week old sausage supper. Delightful… yet damning.
Q: How did you train for this groundbreaking role?
Puck: A lot of sniffing, a little science, and an uncanny ability to detect avoidance. Also: cheese. Let’s not downplay the role of cheese.
Q: Do people lie to you?
Puck: Well, it’s mostly men who try to. But I stare deep into their soul and sniff silently in their ear like, “Sir, you absolutely heard her ask you to take the bin out!”
Q: What’s next for you?
Puck: Expanding my range. Ghosting detection. Gaslighting alerts. Maybe write a book: “If I Smelt It, You Ignored It.”
