Ever wondered why your shepherding breed stares at other dogs? Likely it caused them a few issues socially! The hard stare that collies can sometimes show to other dogs isn’t necessarily the best social skills…. But look at how effective it is when its used for the breeds job! Never judge a dog by its breed traits!

I can not stress this enough. Especially high drive/hunting/sporting breeds. People……they aren’t born this way. Temperament is bred, but not handle that is EARNED with these breeds.

Its been a hectic week with little Fern, getting those basics in place and good practises early on. Let me tell you, no matter how much information you know, having a puppy is hard work… But with consistency and dedication, being ‘on it’ from the beginning sets your dog up for a life of success!
