Lots of walks with Diamond over the past weeks
As always, she has been full of life and wants to be friends with everyone she meets !
I've done additional meets with her to keep up with her socialising. I've brought my Shepherd along and a rescue girl (Valerie, currently up for adoption with Breeds in Need Rescue UK - Cleft and special needs puppy specialists )
Diamond loves nothing more than making new friends and being the most overly friendly girl ever
We've started to visit new areas too, with more places coming up, she's loved people watching, exploring new scents and exploring new things❤️🐾

The biggest shout out ever to Malibu !!
When I first started walking Mali she was scared of everything- wind in the trees, cars on the road, walking off the path, any noise in the distance, any dog in a distance for as far as you could see!
Today we walked at her favourite place.
There were noises, there was no path and more importantly- there were dogs!
Not only did Mali not react, she stayed calm, she looked away.
I didn't distract her, I didn't have to hold her back! She walked calmly past them (4 dogs, 2 occasions).
I am so proud of how far she has come, persistence pays off!
Her mum and I have put plans in place to build her up, to start to eliminate fear and to teach Mali that the world isn't as scary as she thinks it is. Every week when I walk her, she makes me smile, she makes me proud, I'm full of credit for her and every time she gets one step closer to being the brave girl she really wants to be.
Today, I'm beaming! I'm so, unbelievably proud of her and the incredible progress she has made!
Well done Malibu!! ❤️🐾

Yesterday was Mali's 4th birthday!
I'm so grateful to have spent almost a year walking her.
Mali has some 'issues' but that doesn't take away from what an amazing girl she is.
I'm so proud of her and how far she has come in building trust with me and the world around her.
Joey and I took her out for a new walk yesterday, which made her very happy, smelling all the new scents and not having any distractions followed by returning home to a new toy and more treats.

Walking with Mali last week, she has absolutely exceeded expectations and made everyone so incredibly proud of her!
We went for our usual walk, along the riverbank, which turned out to be rather busy that day.
Not only did Mali stay calm around so many dogs, she wanted to play!
We kept a safe distance and I ensured I had full control of every situation.
There were so many beautiful moments (obviously I couldn't capture them) where the fear wasn't so prominent anymore. Seeing her face light up, ears forward, tail wagging and happy, playful whines was amazing! ❤️🐾

What a beautiful day to go for a walk!
Today, Aura and I took Diamond for her walk and Aura cried all the way there as she didn't want to wait any longer to play.
The girls had a lovely time running, playing splashing, sniffing and enjoying each other's company❤️🐾

Yesterday I did a 121 with Mali and Aura at Lincoln Dog Fields
My girl has helped out in rescue many times so I know she isn't reactive and will listen to commands.
Mali hasn't spent much time around other dogs, aside from her brother, due to her fear aggression. So building her up with a trusted dog and in a safe environment was essential.
This is the second time the girls have met here and Mali showed a lot less anxiety this time with lots of playful actions so her mum dropped the lead (keeping it on Mali still just incase it was needed quickly)
The girls ran around together and played with minimal issues.
It's been lovely to see Mali gain a friend that she can play and be boisterous and confident with (along with some sheep watching too)❤️🐾

This week I went to take Joey for a walk.
Something previously has unsettled him and made him very uneasy when his parents aren't home.
I went to meet him where he was confident and we walked with his mum where he remained calm.
When I returned, alone, he was very fearful (his mum had warned me about this)
I gave him a toy and sat with him until he had calmed down. Then we got in the car and went to his normal walking place.
Joey didn't want to run or play, he stood there shaking and wanting to go home, so that's what we did.
We got back and he wasn't scared anymore, unlike when I had originally arrived, so we played with his toys, had lots of belly rubs and had a great time.
I could see that although he was initially scared, his confidence grew when he learnt I wasn't putting him in danger and his needs came first.
So next week we are going to take things slower, at his pace. Joey can build up his trust in me, we will stay home, play, roll around and when he is ready I will begin to take him out for walks ❤️🐾

Last week I took Diamond out for a walk and socialising with my GSD -Aura
Both girls had so much fun running around and playing together like they had known each other forever
Diamond is a very friendly girl and as always she was brilliant, she takes life in her stride with an extra skip in her step
Aura even cried when I took Diamond home! She's seen/spent time with hundreds of rescue dogs but has really taken a liking to Diamond ❤️🐾

Another long overdue post, Sully has continued having his twice a week walks
He spends a lot of time exploring new smells and scent trails(when he's not wrapping us both up around trees 🤣) along with playing 'find it' when I hide his ball. He's become far too good at this so I have had to up my game - resulting in us both losing the ball 🤣
Daily slips from me as I keep falling up/down the bank, not learning my lesson from the first time 🤦‍♀️
Sully is always full of life and so many beautiful happy hops and big smiles, I love watching him learn and seeing him grow ❤️🐾
