A pleasing news article on our friends at Bomba Malaysia, showing just what a super K9 Unit they are at their various national locations. When we provide dogs and training to their K9 programme we know that the level of husbandry care towards the dogs health and welfare is simply second to none. Unsurpassed, and mostly unequalled their daily routines are simply superb. Huge respect to the Bomba K9 programme. Well done all.

This here is Vita our very special GSP bitch from some of the best breeding on mainland Europe with her new brood of 8 puppies. These will be very special and able to fulfil roles as a top working dog or as a devoted companion. Some will be available for sale.

Breeding programmes are one way of trying to acquire dogs of the necessary quality for specialist training. Trying to maintain a breeding programme of quality is both difficult and demanding. You must never compromise on standards, nor ignore your failures. You can learn continually if you take an honest view of what you produce. At Vikkas K9 Ltd we have employed a breeding programme since the last century; wow, over 20 years getting things somewhere near right. We are proud of all our dogs and proud of what they go onto achieve.

Our latest puppies back from their foster homes and about to undergo selection. Although their breeding is impeccable with 2 outstanding parents there is no guarantee that the offspring will make the grade. Gene's cannot be chosen and placed into the box without a prayer being necessary. So, Fido, Frank, Fred, Febe and Flo are going to the canine equivalent of SAS selection. We will see what the are made of and whether they measure up to all the previous Vikkas K9 dogs before. 🤞

Well Vikkas K9 has just finished the final assignment of 2018 in Kaust (Saudi Arabia) supplying handler training and dogs to their K9 Unit. Another successful programme to add to the ones conducted in the Cayman Islands, Malaysia and Oman already this year. Next year see's further programmes in the Cayman Islands and again in Saudi but with a different client. Been a busy year with over 70 dogs trained and supplied. Of these dogs the disciplines have been both challenging and varied; our main trainers Bob Newham and Mick "Watto" Watson have produced dogs to fulfill the following: Drug Detection (Passive and Proactive), Explosive Detection, Cadaver Detection (Water Search), Tracking (Jungle), Tracking (Desert), Police Dog (GP) and Guard Dog. Whatever dogs are required, Vikkas K9 can do it. And very well!

Ten lovely puppies from Narla and Hunter that we hope will fulfil our expectations to become excellent detection or tracking dogs. Both parents are quality dogs so fingers are crossed that they will follow their parents into the elite of cannes.

At Heathrow to travel to Oman delivering 23 dogs and training to the Civil Defence and the Police Force. Looks a fascinating country so looking forward to seeing it, and meeting the challenge that a programme on this scale presents. Several categories of dog, Police, ED, DD, Cadaver, Tracker and SAR, here's hoping that they all travel well, looking forward to seeing them shortly after touchdown.

Assuming that the recent mating with Narla and Hunter it will be a couple of months when some more of these little beauties arrive. As is normal we will be looking for Foster homes to prepare our remarkable young dogs for their future lives as a specialist detection dog.

From our recent activities in Malaysia providing 28 trained dogs to their Fire Dept we have Mr Bob's (Newham) assistant (Bart) easily identifiable with his issues baloons.

Well the task of supplying 28 dogs to the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia is just about complete. Our training team arrived on 2 Jan, it's been a pleasure to meet so many good people who have all shown that truly wonderful Malay hospitality. A few of the memories.

BREAKING NEWS. Vikkas K9 Ltd dogs begin their work for the Cayman Islands Customs in fine style. Alfie and his colleagues, Rui and Jack have only been over there a couple of weeks after Gateth "Gaff" Elliott conducted a reteam for the dogs to match with their new handlers. Massive congratulations to the Customs K9 Unit in the Cayman Islands, well done to you all.

I just want to share some great news with you about an operation that took place early this morning that resulted in K-9 “Alfie” alerting his handler K-9 Tate McFarlane to the bodies of person leaving the island at the airport and body searches conducted to reveal $1,500.00 dollars.

The persons were arrested and investigations being conducted by Customs and RCIPS Financial Crimes Unit 👍

Thanks once again for the knowledge and training you imparted👌
