Barclays Boarding (Closed) Dog boarding At Barclay's boarding I offer a home boarding service on a one-family at a time basis.

Not only does your dog(s) get to spend their holiday in a home environment but they can also have the chance of doing hydrotherapy, for fun/fitness or to help soothing aching joints causing by illnesses like arthritis. Your dog(s) can also be treated to a professional bath/grooming* treatment during their stay with me. These services cost extra and can be agreed upon at time of booking. I am the c

anine hydrotherapist at Just For Dogs in Stokesley, and your dog (depending on it's needs) can attend work with me so they have company throughout the work day. I have previously raised 2 Guide Dog puppies, before finishing a Psychology degree. From there I trained up in Canine Hydrotherapy so have a working knowledge of dog behavior, medical procedures, anatomy and most importantly first aid. I also attend additional seminars to further my knowledge including topics of Canine Behavior, Nutrition and Health.

It's with an aching heart I share this news, but it is happy news I feel.
We have said goodbye to Barclay today, we celebrated his 14th birthday with a trip to peak district, lots of final adventures, treats and love and today gave him a farewell party were he got to eat 7 double cheeseburgers & 10 chicken selects!
His body had started to fail him, and he was becoming more fragile so to save him from suffering through continuous deterioration, we chose to let him go while he was still able to enjoy some final adventures.
Barks had an amazing long life with no major injuries and filled with love & adventures 😊

Barclay's birthday frolic!

Sadly it seems due to changes in boarding regulations it isn't feesable to reopen Barclay's Boarding.
However, I have set up an Instagram account (barkbark_the_lab) for those who wish to follow our adventures :)

We met up with my life long friend on Sunday night, sadly we don't get to meet up often. The last time was 2 years ago when she introduced us to her new pup Finn! I think Barclay recognised him still as he was very eager to play!! 😍 Was fantastic watching them play together!

A key interest of mine is canine nutrition. I like to ensure Barclay has the best diet possible to prolong his life. This means high quality, appropriate ingredients, no 'human food' unless fruit or veg and no additives or preservatives.
I have found buying 100% meat treats very expensive so I now make my own instead. I invested in a dehydrator and it makes amazing treats! This is a batch of finished dehydrated beef lung which dogs love! High quality treats like these are very high value to dogs which helps build a working bond between myself and my boarders when practicing commands 😁
