I’m so proud to share that my paper, which examines the scales used to assess canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD), is now published!

A huge thank you to Daniel Mills for his ongoing support with this work, and for helping me bring it to life and achieve the dream of becoming a published scientific author.

This work would also not have been possible without all the people along the way who filled in the questionnaire, shared their stories about why they were so keen to get involved in the study because of their experiences caring for a senior dog, or the friends, family, and colleagues who listened to and helped me navigate the road to publication.

I am incredibly passionate about senior dog behaviour and welfare, and knowing that this work contributes to improving the recognition and treatment of an irreversible disease means so much to me. Caring for and loving a senior dog is hard, but I hope this knowledge can help make someone’s journey a little bit easier 🩵

Had such an amazing time at the Animal Behaviour Kent conference this weekend looking at aggressive behaviour in dogs! I have come away from it feeling very inspired and excited to apply it to my work practically.

Feeling very fortunate that after nearly 10 years of attending conferences, I can go to these events with amazing colleagues and friends I have met along the way. A special mention to MJ Animal Training and Behaviour, Companion Minds, Lucy Webb and Danielle and Kayleigh from Control The Meerkat. 🩵

So proud and excited to have shared my MSc Thesis research yesterday at the British Veterinary Behaviour Association - BVBA Study Day. It was incredible to speak to so many people about this work and start to see its implications for the real world.

Thank you to Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians and the rest of the BVBA team for your support throughout the day!
