💭 One of those little moments I forgot to share…

I was sitting with Bertie the spaniel, thinking about lunch and I said out loud:
“Should I do my beagle?” 😆

The way he looked at me — head tilted, full of confusion.
Took me a second to realise what I’d actually meant to say was…
“Should I do my bagel?” 🥯😂

Meanwhile, Hewey the actual beagle was fast asleep, totally unbothered by the idea I might’ve just put him on the menu.

It still makes me laugh. It’s these little, silly moments I love about this job — when the pets become part of the rhythm of your day and give you stories you’ll never forget.

💛 Just a quick reminder: I always check the pavements before walking any pets to make sure it’s safe. For example, on Saturday evening, it was still around 25–26°C and quite humid — so instead of a walk, the dog I was caring for enjoyed some relaxed time in the garden.

Please take a moment to watch this video and always think twice before heading out for a walk in the heat — your pet’s safety comes first. 🐾☀️

Meet Harvey 💛
This sweet ginger boy is 15 years young and was an absolute pleasure to care for recently.
Despite being in a busy household with other pets, Harvey made sure to charm his way into my heart with cuddles, chats and that wise, peaceful presence older pets seem to have.

Yes, he has a few mats in his fur — but honestly, they don’t take away from how happy and content he is. He absolutely radiated love and I came away from this sit with a full heart.

Looking after pets in their own home where they feel happy, safe and secure is exactly why I do what I do. Thank you Harvey, for the snuggles, the purrs and your gentle spirit. 💗🐾

Sometimes as a small business owner we often forget about taking days off and having time to reset and recharge because we love what we do, it’s easy to forget to pause.

I squeezed in a little break to visit family recently, but truthfully, I didn’t fully switch off until the night before I came home. 🙈

I got back straight into a full blown cold 🤧

This week’s been a bit of a juggle. I’m slowly getting there — the sneezing has finally stopped (thank goodness!), but catching up on everything while not quite 100% has been a challenge.

So this is just me popping on to say: I’m still here, behind the scenes. Pet care updates are coming (yes, even the ones from April and May – better late than never, right?) and I really appreciate all the love, support and patience from everyone. 💛🐾

I’m so grateful to receive such a wonderful review from a lovely client. Knowing that your pets feel happy, loved and comfortable while I’m caring for them means everything to me.

Skye was an absolute joy to care for. We had plenty of tail wags, fun walks and lots of playtime. It’s always so special when a pet warms to me so quickly and Skye certainly did! 💗

Thank you for trusting me to look after your precious dog. I truly enjoyed our time together and can’t wait to do it again.

I may not have been with this handsome chap today, but hearing from his lovely human and getting him booked in for future visits truly made me smile 💛

Archie is one of those special souls — calm, gentle and full of quiet wisdom (not to mention a big fan of a good brush and a comfy snooze!).

Sending birthday hugs and cuddles across the miles tonight — can’t wait to see him again soon for some pampering and catch-ups! 🐶✨
