This is why I’m launching - PUPPY LAUNCHPAD:

Because, one of the biggest challenges in those first few weeks with a puppy is that both ends of the lead are learning at the same time.

First-time puppy owners especially are trying their absolute best to put advice, books, videos and opinions into practice, while the puppy is also trying to figure out how to exist in a very human world they don’t yet understand.

The difficulty is that when an unwanted behaviour — or the wrong response to one — gets repeated over and over, it quickly starts to become learned behaviour for such a young puppy. At this age they are soaking up information constantly, which makes habits easy to create… but much harder to unlearn later.

The truth is, puppies aren’t trying to “get it wrong”. They’re babies learning how to be dogs, while their humans are learning how to guide them. That’s why patience, consistency and gentle understanding matter so much in those early weeks — for both of you.

Learning the skills from day one will make a huge difference!
