Your horse is looking a bit scruffy with some long guard hairs, hairy beards with long manes and tails. But not hairy enough for a clip.
I am happy to do tidy up "skim and trim" sessions this saves you money and you get your horse looking respectable again. If it is long body guard hairs then I need to have clipped your horse within the last 8 weeks to qualify for a "skim and trim" clip. I am happy to include manes and tails tidies at the same time.
Prices start at £30 depending on what is needed. Drop me a message.
I currently have some availability for Feb and March. I can take on a few new clients.
This is Indie, my horse. This week, she has been on some eye medication for an ulcer. This has meant eye medication around 3 times a day. Thankfully, she is very good for this as she is very prone to eye problems. Training your horse to be good for treatment really pays off and totally possible.
Thank you to everyone that came along and braved a rather chilly evening!!
A huge thank you to Kate The Equine Warehouse, East Sussex for having us and putting on these evenings. Some great feeding advice tonight especially if you want cost effective options.
Next live forum discussion evening will be the beginning of March keep a look out for the next date.
Our third discussion group is go!

Managed to ride my own pony today!! Second ride in about 4.5 months. She was a very good girl.
Hope everyone had a good festive period and enjoying some down time in the in-between time where no one knows what day of the week it is.
I am just catching up on my diary if you are wanting a January or February visit/clip please drop me a message.
A mid winter clip for 'young' Lad today. Once upon a time Lad really hated clipping now he just has a few things to say about certain areas such as the underside of his tummy. Now we can almost say he might actually enjoy his some areas. Think it is save to say Lad approved of the new Phoenix clippers from @lLiveryman and so do I used them for a whole week now.
I am nearly up to date with messages. December until Christmas is pretty much fully booked a few spaces after Christmas with January already looking quite busy.
Wonder what I am getting ready for 🤔
First use of the new @liveryman_ phoenix clippers loving them so far. Being battery clippers had been concerned how heavy they would be but they really aren't and are very well balanced. Will take be a few goes to become as dexterous as I am with the Black Beauty's but first clip done and big thumbs up(no I failed on the picture front, will ask the owner if she got any!) Also loving the bag and blade protector that comes with them. #happyclippping #horses #horseclipping #proclipper #liverymanclippers
They have arrived! The new @liveryman_ #pheonix
Looking forward to using them tomorrow. I absolutely love my Black Beauty and Harmony's. I have been considering getting a new heavy duty set of clippers for a while as both my BB are quite old and done a huge amount of clipping (TBH with very few issue other than replacement cables) when these came a long and I had opportunity to get some it was difficult to say no!
Thank you to everyone that came to the forum The Equine Warehouse, East Sussex Thank you Kate for having me and apologies. I spoke for so long we had to abridge your talk, and thank you for being my pony this evening. If you are intrigued the get along to the next one which will be in January date to be announced soon.
The last month has flown by!
I haven't quite managed the posts intended on here. I have been planning to do more horse success shout-outs. I actually find these hard to do as most of the time, it takes a team or, in some cases, an army to get longer-term resolutions. Recently, I have had a couple of horses that have exceeded any hoped-for end point.
First big gold star goes to Diesel who is so very lucky to have an owner that really understands him and his needs and has given him the time and education he needed.
Diesel has definitely has an army behind him. When I first met Diesel, it was to see if I could clip him, I could but there was lots of movement and the clip was small but we made good progress and it wasn't too long before I could do a full clip albeit bypassing some of the no go areas!
However is legs were a very big no, Diesel has a condition known as CPL which in a previous home has got out of control meaning his legs were sore and uncomfortable making clipping and necessary but impossible task! He has regularly had the vet in for sedation to get on top of the legs. (Big shout out for George Cliffe Equine Vets for the open minded approach, not all vets will acknowledge CPL exists)
Diesels owner and people on his livery yard has worked so hard on leg handing. Now with the legs more comfortable as well a couple of weeks ago we manged to do not only Diesels full body clip but also his back legs unsedated (front legs still work in progress). This is something that a year ago seemed utterly impossible. When clipp Diesel I clip hom how he is happy, he is much better when I clip facing his head rather than away, having clipped him for a while now I have worked out what he prefers.
This is only the first time and if his legs get sore again for sure he will say no again.
This is the prefect example of team work for the benefit of the horse!
Well done Diesel 🌟
