🛑Lewes Dog Show - Saturday 16th August 2025 - CANCELLED 🛑

Unfortunately, due to the predicted high temperatures, we have made the sad decision to cancel this years dog show. ☀️

The health of your animals is the most important thing to us!

We hope to see you all next year.

🛶🐢LEWES TO NEWHAVEN RAFT RACE 2025 - SHELL’EBRATING 50 🐢🛶

Last Sunday we look on the Lewes to Newhaven Raft Race. We were absolutely BUZZING to make it to the end this year and finish in 🥈2nd place🥈in a time of 2 hours and 7 minutes.

A few achy muscles and egg shaped bruises were well worth it, to raise vital funds for Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare.

As some of you may be aware, our computer systems went down yesterday afternoon.

Unfortunately, they are still not up and running properly.

Please bear with us when trying to book appointments.

We are also unable to print off dispense labels for medications and are having to hand-write them.
Non-urgent medication, such a flea and worming treatment, will have to wait until we are back up and running.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and please be kind to our staff.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to unforeseen circumstances, completely out of our control, we do NOT have a Vet in today (Wednesday 23rd April 2025).
We started contacting clients yesterday evening, to reschedule appointments, and will continue this morning.

We have limited availability over the next couple of days and are uncertain, at present, what next week will look like.

With this in mind, if you have a routine appointment scheduled (annual vaccinations etc…), we will be contacting you to push your appointment back a few weeks.
As you can imagine, with limited slots available, we need to ensure we have appointments available for our furry friends that require more urgent care.

This also means we will be unable to dispense medication.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. We hope to be back to normal ASAP.

Our Kemptown Hospital will be open all over the Easter weekend, should you need any emergency care.

Alternatively, you can call through to us on 01273 478100 and our lines will divert you through.

If your animal requires URGENT care, please contact the surgery, as usual. For anything routine/non-urgent medication requests, please send an email to [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please be aware, this issue may mean we need to reschedule non-urgent appointments.

As you can imagine, this is causing a lot of stress for our staff. Please be kind. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to be back up and running ASAP.
