Balcormo bred Lafforcry and Kinda Lika - born a year apart ( both share King Of Diamonds in the grand sure of their pedigree) they went training together as 4 and 5 yr olds - then last week they both were smart contenders in their working hunter classes and Kinda also in a flat class at The Royal Highland Show Both went home with rosettes and happy owners. šŸµļø

So Fife Show show jumping seemed to be a big success.Lots of good jumping and the last chances to qualify for The Royal Highland were well sought after.
The first non qualifiers as in the 5th prize winners enjoyed their commiseration prize of a bottle of wine and a box of hankies šŸ˜‚
Laura Hutt was the lucky winner of The Horse First Hamper from
Paddy Hughes by winning TheRHS Classis qualifier.
Thank you to all the people who volunteered to help set up the course - picking up poles - course changes and then disassembling the course and loading the jumps back on to course builder Nigel Jess s very well set up trailer ! We are having a training and fun afternoons jumping at Balcormo for the volunteers too. Just have to watch they donā€™t get too good and then all want to ride next year instead of be on foot ! Although hopefully Donna Ker-ramsay will have the next group of Claverhouse team at the ready ! Famous for their Teamwork so well managed by Donna

Neither of these ladies wanted in the pictures - but they are in. Judge Alison - who today was assistant course builder along with Linda Lucey ~ and Elaine Miller - the worker behind the scenes for the whole show - not just the jumping but the Secretary for everything-
We have photographic evidence that she was quite calm on the Friday afternoon!
Big thanks to Paddy Hughes of Horse First for once again providing a Hamper which will go to a very lucky winner.

Lend a hand in the showjumping department at Fife Show at the weekend please let me know. Still needing a few pole pickers on Sunday / donā€™t need to do the whole day - but do need to be a better runner than me

There will be an afternoon of jumping training and fun at Balcormo sometime soon for all those who join in and help

Photo for attention - but the horse is also looking for his next home !!
