Tommy - 1 year old neutered male
Sadly Tommys old owners had to give him up due to urgent unforeseen circumstances. He has spent time with our internal behaviourist and is now in our pembs location. He has not been in long so still under assessment but his main issues listed below:-
He is a lovely friendly boy but a typical border of course so will need all the basic requirements of the breed. He seems playful with other dogs both male and female but will NOT be rehomed to homes that include other male dogs. He can get over zealous in play more so with males and could end up escalating so female only households.
He barks at cats and would prob chase so a none cat and small furry home only
He is very clean in the house. Can pull sometimes but generally good on the lead. And will come back to heel straight away.
He can be destructive when left alone. He has chewed the Lino up and woodwork in my dogs room overnight. He is crated at night to avoid destruction and is happy with this. Ideally he will be in a household where someone works from home or retired and has time to put training into his further education. Maybe someone seeking a dog for mantrailing, agility or other dog sport.
He also resource guards so a household without young children, young adults may be ok if they are sensible. We are seeking a home who can work with his education and follow the advice of our dog behaviourist. Sadly Tommy has nipped previous owner when removing items from him and they didn’t seek help with this issue so he will need consistent training and understanding owners.
Tommy is located in Pembrokeshire and we will expect people to come and meet him and spend time with him. He will be subject to a donation fee and a successful home check. Please see pinned posts for an application form and email to [email protected]
