Puppies in action on Sunday ❤️

The first group we worked on obedience around each other, recapped the stop whistle and finished with some memory retrieves.
The second group we also worked on obedience around each other then introduced the ‘out’ command as a new direction.
The youngest group worked on heelwork, sit/stays and puppy recalls, we used each other as distractions and finished with a fun retrieve.
Super well done all 👏👏

On Saturday we had fun with the launcher !!

The grass has been cut which meant we could really stretch the dogs, we had a mixture of long memory blinds behind and blinds out to the side. We then walked up with marks from the launcher and then delayed marks while we picked the blinds… well done all 👏👏

The younger dogs worked on lengthening their memories and then tested their lefts and rights to make sure they went were told… well done all 👏👏

What a fabulous day we had last Sunday!
We were helping Abbie Reid and the Riverlily Working Dogs team with the gundog demo at the Herts and Essex Country Fair.
We did two demos in the main arena and the dogs were amazing!
Abbie not only worked her dogs but provided great commentary at the same time.
We had four puppies starting the demo and then eleven big dogs showing the crowd what we do best with a fab mixture of retrieving and hunting 👏👏
Even little Millie at 12 and half did a couple retrieves showing the youngsters she’s still got it ❤️

When we finished the demos we had a bit of fun on the scurry’s… some of us may have gotten a bit competitive 😂😂
Riot managed to take first and Lara third 👏
Super well done to Sue with Percy for second and Abbie and Daisy for fourth 👏🥂

We finished the afternoon with Prosecco and ice creams 😂❤️

Well done to all the Saturday groups 👏

The older dogs had blinds through the gateway where we were stood the week before along with a mixture of marks and memories as distractions to really keep the handlers and dogs listening, all the dogs did really well 👏

The younger dogs worked on tightening up the stop whistle and then finished with two dummies out left and right to check the dogs understanding and make sure they were listening… well done 👏

Welcome Gali 🩷

The quickest most spontaneous decision I’ve ever made!
Not what we had planned but she come around at the right time to help make our hearts smile ❤️

The sweetest and the most confident little puppy that takes everything in her stride… we’re going to have fun together!
She will be mum and dads dog but is at puppy school with me for the time being 😂

Sunday young dog groups in full swing ❤️☀️👏

The first group worked on our normal obedience around each other, then we had one dog do a sit/stay while the others walked around them as a distraction and then we finished with a couple memory retrieves, one with me throwing the item then the puppies walking off doing some heelwork and then sending back for the retrieve… well done all 👏

The next group warmed up with some obedience then we had a look at the memory retrieves really testing the distance and then finished by looking at the push backs and adding the stop whistle…
Well done all 👏

Finally the youngest puppies worked on obedience around each other, then we did a meet and greet exercise where the puppies had to do heelwork towards each other and then sit nicely near each other before being allowed to say a little hello and then doing a puppy recall away.
We then finished with a little fun retrieve and spoke about the dos and don’ts for retrieving… well done all 👏

Saturday groups in action ❤️👏

The older dog groups worked on marks and blinds through the gateway into the open field along with a mixture of delayed marks and blinds… well done all 👏

The younger dogs recapped their lefts and rights, testing they understood what we wanted then we tested them with two items out to make sure they were listening… well done all 👏
