Those of you that have known me for awhile, know that I love my allotment plots and grow a lot of the fruit I use in Oaticakes during the summer months.
However last year, with everything that happened, the plots got badly neglected. We have handed back our biggest plot as there was no way I could cope with getting everything back into shape. But we have kept two smaller plots.
Over the past couple months I have spent as much time as possible at the allotment and got our main fruit plot back into fairly good shape. At the beginning of April you couldn't see any fruit bushes due to the waist high grass and weeds. So I'm over the moon with how the plot is now. We have even managed to plant some veg for ourselves. I'm not sure how much fruit we will get from it this year. But it was more about getting it cleared and fed ready for a bumper crop next year ๐
Now this plot is up and running well, I have our second plot to get stuck into, which again is tall weeds and grass. I just need some weather that is not 35 degrees or pouring with rain!!
